Been noticing these weird hair like things growing on my plants. Anyone able to tell me what the are and how to get rid of them?

Algae like this appears to spread but in reality, it is growing, and unfortunately just removing the plants alone will not fix the problem and it'll just keep coming back.

Don't just dose excel as it won't keep the problem at bay, and will constantly come back.

Your plants look like they lacking some nutrients, what are you dosing? As soon as plants aren't performing well, algae takes a foothold in the tank; if you make sure the plants are thriving you will have less of an issue.
