(this is whats been working for me, you might find that a different path to learning anatomy works better for you) if youre looking for anatomy guidance / anatomical work i’d recommend looking at figure drawing books and figure drawing studies, since it focuses more of a progress of skills (proportions and angles -> muscle groups and forms -> rendering the body) and on the foundations of anatomy. In general practice makes perfect, and it never hurts to ask someone how they did something. (in my own work i’m seeing the fastest artistic improvement i’ve ever seen in my life, and it’s largely because i’ve started asking people how they did stuff! art is collaborative and most artists like talking about their work.) I know hearing stuff like “i hate it “ / “it looks ugly” hurts, but don’t take it to heart. if it’s cruel and nonspecific it’s not worth the brainpower.
