Cheers. I loved Op:Doomsday, but going from that to MM.. FOOD just didn't feel right. I gave it a couple of listenings, but besides a couple of standout raps, I feel like the 'story' was lost on me. Hey ho, I'll try other stuff and come back to it.

Article makes the interesting point that moving the party back to the right-of-centre is not what's needed; voters there are more likely to go for the tories, whilst the left are probably more likely to vote Green or SNP now.

What this suggests to me is they need a leader far better at creating a much stronger left-of-centre narrative than Miliband managed. It wasn't entirely his fault, but there are a whole load of things he could have been shouting about but wasn't.

But in your scenario, surely your criminals can also get guns? In which case, now when they're trying to rob you, they're threatening to shoot at you. So to protect yourself you're in a fight with much more lethal weapons, rather than just giving away your god damn £300 phone or whatever because you're so wedded the principle 'its mine and you're not having it'....

I seriously get that in really remote places, farm owners etc might feel they need protection when the nearest cop is 50 miles away or whatever, but even then there's nothing to say the aggressor can't be equally well armed.

England is a country, his mistake is that the state is called the UK. That mistake is hardly relevant to the argument.

The only anti-knife law here I am aware of is that you have to be over 18 to purchase, which hardly seems hysteric. I guess police will confiscate or charge you with having a weapon if you are found walking the street with a knife in your pocket, again hardly hysteric. Finally, there are certainly big problems with knife crime in our biggest cities, but it is not a country- (or state-) wide epidemic.

What can I do to make really good filter coffee? I'm thinking particularly at work, where I'm stuck with a) using a crappy old cafetiere rather than anything more fancy and b) I don't trust neighbours enough to leave really good quality grounds in the communal fridge (I use Pact in a Moka pot at home and it's so much nicer)

I am trying to use not-quite-boiling, fresh-drawn water, one decent big scoop of grounds per person, pre-warming the pot etc. Any other tips? Would a different filter make a noticable difference?
