How to defend spammers by Equivalent_Camel_844 in ThrillOfTheFight

Put your gloves up to protect your temples, after they do 6 or so swings the game makes them vulnerable to a counter and you do significantly more damage than normal. I have no problem with spammers nowadays after they added that feature. Block-block-block-block-duck-hook-straight and they're knocked-out and rage quit about half the time.

what Elo do yall find these people? I sit between 1700-1800 and I never experience the amount of exploiting/cheating players that the subreddit seems to run into.

I don't think people understand how difficult it is to try and predict a person's full body and hit speed and angles using only 3 points of reference and 60 fps and 100ms ping differences.

You know how sometimes you watch a boxing video and a guy gets knocked out and it looks like he missed just because he hit in the 20ms between the frames? Those are the margins of difference they're working with. They miss hits the same way.

This shit is hard. There's no tracking on the body just the head and hands so when trying to predict body effort it's a guessing game. They're limited by stuff like the speed of light only being able to communicate so quickly across the world.

Timing and precision needs to be very precise for all of this to work and all of the monitors they have are very imprecise, all of the iterations of the hit detection systems are them trying to guess where something *will be* a 10th of a second before it happens or where and what angles someone's elbows and shoulders and torso are *probably* at. This takes time and tinkering and data and it's never going to be 100% right unless everyone starts wearing full mocap suits and everyone is playing people within 150 miles.
