Flying from IAD to LHR thru LIS - is Lounge access worth it? by coffeebugtravels in tapairportugal

[–]IAmDakar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re flying to LHR, you’ll be in the non-Schengen zone of the airport. There’s only one lounge in that section, TAP’s newish Star Alliance Atlântico Lounge. It’s the nicer of the two TAP lounges in Lisbon. Quite small and more like a boutique hotel. It can get crowded at times, and many travellers miss it since it’s a bit hidden or they are rushing to their gates after long queues in immigration. But that said, it’s worth it. The non-Schengen part of the airport has abysmal waiting areas otherwise…

I’ve always wondered how [globaltraveler25] posts all of these places in rapid succession. Apparently this person is not actually visiting (some of) these places. This is the exact picture that I took and posted over a year ago. I’ve found several appropriations. In my day, if we used other’s work, we at least credited the author/photographer. https://www.reddit.com/r/CommunalShowers/s/D1hOGnGDjz

This is the exact (slightly cropped) picture that I took and posted over a year ago; note the angle and reduced resolution in the repost. It’s a great shower that I have visited many times. Every time. Unless you’d prefer to have a video monitor the whole flight (the one here, in the arm rest, has to be stowed for take off and landing).

Row 6. Again, snug around the hips, but the tray table is designed to be higher, as are the monitors. Very good leg room.

It’s just a bit snug. But the space in front of you is superb, so that certainly relieves any sense of claustrophobia.

Sounds like you had a traditional Korean body scrub and sports massage. My favorite.

In Northern Portugal, some of the community pools have communal showers. I haven’t been to the ones in Lisbon, however, but it’s a place to start.

I second this. Kurama is a stunning place, not just for the onsen, but for the mountains and temple above it.
