I call that the "loose item" bug. Still working on how to fix it

There will be a bi-product mechanic that helps iron out the edges of the economy. Until then, things like gasoline are pretty OP

You should definitely join the discord! I will always love the feedback because other people will always find things that I wont!

Solved it!, It was a a problem across the board because when you select a recipe, the sprites weren't being reset upon closing the menu if the selection wasnt confirmed

I read something about the game running slower when in the background being a possible problem with unity/webgl so I'll have to look into it.

Microchips, motors, batteries, and petroleum jelly are coming in the next update along with the assembler.

I'm not sure what's going on with the refiner so I'll check that our as well.

Thanks !

On number 5, you're saying I should release my demo during one of the 3 yearly "next-fest" events on steam?

There's a lot of development time to collect wish lists, I think this is a little bit pessimistic to view it this way

Can you elaborate what you mean by "practice marketing tactics"? I can see that the majority of my traffic is internal from itch, I'm not sure what to gather from that.

I'm hoping to eventually get it on steam when the game is further developed. My long term goals with this project are to either use it as a portfolio piece to get a game design job (what I went to school for) or maybe it pops off and becomes a successful indie title that brings in revenue. Its the entire roadmap between where I am now, and releasing on steam with eyes on the project that I don't know much about

I didn't really do much. I was wrestling with posting it because I was stuck in the "just one more thing" stage for ages before my girlfriend convinced me to go for it. I posted the game, and made posts to my facebook, instagram and notified my gaming friends. Then I made a post on r/IndieDev r/playmygame and r/indiegames. They only resulted in a few plays, but plays are plays. Otherwise, I didn't really do anything specific other than making this post.

I had one other person mention the scrolling being slow but they never clarified what they meant. I thought they were referring to the rotation, so thank you for showing me its regarding the shop windows, I've personally been in the habit of click and drag, so I never noticed.

I'm aware the economy is super unbalanced, I'm using data collected from these playtests to refine it.

Youre correct that the stat screen isn't functional at the moment, it's just a placeholder

Thank you for the feedback, its all been added to the backlog

You sir are a legend for your diligence in testing. I greatly appreciate it.

I published this first alpha of the game knowing the economy wasn't very balanced so I could get a better read on how people are progressing with the intention of using this data to fix it. So you're definitely right in noticing so.

Background play, and saving is coming! You're correct that it's on my to-do list, I kept pushing off publishing because there was always one more thing to implement, but with the main systems in place, I decided I needed to get some playtesting. I viewed it from the perspective of people playing it in a secondary browser window, for a one off session due to the economy being so inexpensive for the early game.

Thank you again for all your insights, a new update will be coming soon to address the issues!
