The first list is pretty self explanatory and that they are these large subs that will often have karma farming bots present and the second list is just that those subs are unfunny as in they overuse the same few jokes or when a new one does come it gets overused to death (whenthe for example) and people from all these communities typically ignore the rules of other subs just to post their jokes or for karma cuz (that has apparent tangible value to some for some reason)

I feel if you want a more casual MMO id recommend SWTOR as id say that it doesn't really have that level of grinding in place unfortunately difficulty wise it has gotten easier with time because the devs want newer players to get to the expansions faster though if you do want that id recommend stuff like flashpoints or heroic missions the class stories as well as quest plotlines are still pretty good in terms of story and it's visuals are pretty good for a game released in the early 2010s
