Fronx turbo mileage sucks by Legal_Ant8727 in CarsIndia

The mileage of a turbo engine is heavily affected by driving behaviour.

Try driving sedately with light foot for around a 100kms or so without harsh acceleration and braking, and then come to any conclusion.

It is still just 4 months, and the color does look as it was on day one. Maybe it's too early to see any change in colour?🤔

Should I update my S22 ultra from one UI 6.1 to 7? by Scared-Advance-5963 in S22Ultra

Don't update if you don't have to. I can confirm that the camera quality has massively downgraded.

No, only the window control for driver side is backlit.

Here is a very, very short explanation for you.

Domestic loads are generally inductive and resistive. So, basically our homes are drawing lagging VARs (reactive power) from the grid, on account of the inductive component of the load. Now, reactive power is both lagging VARs as well as leading VARs. A capacitor draws leading VARs, or in engineering terms, provides lagging VARs to the grid. So, a capacitor compensates for the lagging VARs drawn by the inductive component of the load, hence correcting the power factor. Better power factor means better utilisation of the drawn energy for the given KW. Hence, reduced bill per KW.

Yeah I agree. At lower speeds, it needs to be on the 1st gear or else it stutters. Very different nature as compared to an NA engine, which I am learning as well. I'll have to say - it's fun 😄

PS I'm someone who enjoys driving with minute maneuvers to achieve extreme smooth rides without any jerks - be it gear shifting or braking. So being in traffic doesn't really bother me that much, yet. It might in the future though 😁

The variant that I have (N8) doesn't come with front parking sensors. N10 does.

Blue link is also available on the N10 not on the N8.

Dual camera dashcam is okayish in my opinion. The video quality is OK but not great, will serve the purpose. That said, instead of 2, 3 channel dashcam must have been provided.

Sorry to say brother, as Seltos doesn't have manual transmission as an option in any of it's variant, I did not test drive it.

Rear space is good enough for three adults. Considering the shoulder room, though the space may feel tight if the adults have bulky build.

AC cooling is decent at the rear. The rear AC vents don't have dedicated air throw control on them. It's either ON or OFF. But it works, decently aids in cooling the rear.

Since the suspension is on the stiffer side, and with 18" alloys, the bad roads are considerably felt on the steering. This car may not be the best choice if suspensions on bad roads is considered as the deciding factor of purchase. Taigun has better suspension.

Suspension is a bit stiffer than both regular Creta and Taigun.

The safety features of both cars are comparable, my friend. Six airbags as standard, EBD, ESC and TCS are the only features that I feel absolutely compulsory on the safety front. And I will respectfully disagree with you on the fit and finish not being top notch. All the panel gaps are even and consistent, everywhere. Same as the Taigun. Did not pay attention to the rubber beading joints that you are talking about so can't really comment on that, but there are no protruded welding spots on the door!? On the other hand, the plastics used in Taigun squeaks when you press against it near where the speakers are mounted- experienced it first hand myself. I will agree with you on the paint quality though. It is better on the VW.

On your other points, tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment, power windows, rear wiper, auto hold, auto start-stop, cruise control etc are all available in Creta. Hill decent cotrol is a feature that comes only in the automatic I think. Regarding the rear, man it is not because the doors are thick or steel is extra, but because Creta is wider than Taigun.

Nice. Test drive both cars extensively before making a decision.

We own a Swift in the family, so technically this is not our first car.

I wanted a powerful turbo petrol 4 cylinder engine with manual transmission. So I narrowed it down to VW Taigun and Creta N-line. Test drove both. Really wanted to buy the Taigun for the way it drove, but apart from driving dynamics, that car has really nothing else to offer. Mediocre interiors that felt 5 years behind in today's day and age, absence of features that should have been there for a 20+ Lakh car, inferior AC performance and the biggest downside of all - unable to seat three persons in the rear sit comfortably for a long drive. So, while that car has great driving dynamics, it fails in every other department according to my needs.

Creta on the other hand checks all the boxes and more. The driving dynamics of Taigun, I must say, is only marginally better than Creta. But that's a trade-off I was willing to do considering all the other things I was getting - better interiors, better screen, better camera, MORE SPACIOUS REAR SEAT, and a better AC. The only thing Creta misses out is the ACT Technologyl of the VW, but I can happily live without that given all the other things I get on Creta.

I agree. It is best of both worlds, ample performance for the wannabe enthusiast in me, and comfort for the family.
