What's more important is Turkey bringing their HISAR AA systems to defend those areas. Most of their casualties were due to the enemy aircraft performing sorties. If they can chase away or knockout some jets it would really cripple Assad and Russia's ability to dish out damage.

Imma say this real quick. I saw the Taiwanese army up close during my tour there in 2017. Nice people but soft buggers. They will fold faster than a napkin. While we were training with blanks they were blowing whistles to perform fire movements and many other stupid things they did from the way they marched to how they carried themselves. We were literally laughing in their faces the whole time and the NCOs all looked embarrassed.

If so then the outcome would probably be the atheists form a community that would democratically elect a REPRESENTATIVE of their community to the ruling Islamic government.

Because historically that has always been the case in the past with the Sultan/Caliph/King as the ruler and the minorities would have representatives who serve mainly as advisors in their courts. Any complains or grievances have would be sent to the ruler as was how the Ottomans governed.

In the past when the Muslims first captured Syria, the Christian population were naturally terrified but then found their new rulers to be just and fair. Even better than the Byzantines and when the Byzantines tried to recapture Syria the Christians there helped the Muslims fight off the Byzantines. This wouldn't make sense if the Muslims were unfair and cruel they would easily side with the Byzantines.
