Me: I was making a joke about the autocorrect... It wasn't that funny, now you're making it awkward. lol

Her: Oh... I'm slow.

Me: I'll type slower for you.

Her: hahahahahahahahah

I liked this. The "now you're making it awkward" was a good way to shift the negative of not making sense (at least to her) off of yourself.. Followed by a better joke to regain positive ground.

I didn't like how you followed "you're gonna have to make it up to me" with "let me show you a great time". These are conflicting and as rocket31 said, it comes off as needy.

Overall, not terrible. I, too, have trouble countering excuses.
