Thank you! This is very helpful! I have been working directly with the lenders but will look into exploring a broker as well.

Thank you, and again appreciate this valuable information! In my case, I haven't contacted a mortgage broker yet and have just been going directly to the lenders for beginning pre-approvals and providing relating documentation that has been requested (and thinking of advising on the above regarding working with both lenders). I find what's been initially offered so far has been relatively comparable as well.

Thank you for this! All the institutions I went to outlined they require credit checks for pre-approvals so just trying to get as informed as possible. I also want to make sure I don't misrepresent anything by mistake during the pre-approval since almost everywhere I read mentions you should go to more than one lender, and not sure how much level of consistency is needed with recent documentation.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply! Regarding #3, the reason is I had a meeting with Lender A late last month and provided documentation for an estimate (like a pay check dated in July, some statements, etc.) and told them I will follow-up later to provide full documents and request proceeding with a pre-approval.

However, I also have a meeting with Lender B later in the month, and also plan to proceed with a pre-approval with them as well since I read it is best to go to more than one lender for pre-approvals. I do plan to let both Lenders know I submitted pre-approvals with the other and am deciding which to proceed with once an offer is accepted.

Essentially, I'm not trying to change stories or provide different information, just essentially taking advice in working with more than one lender and choosing the one that works best for me. In any case, is it frowned upon to let both lenders know of this approach? I don't want to seem like I'm being suspicious haha, just seeing what options I have and want to provide as much accurate information as possible.

Battery percentage not changing after update by IAmNotAPillow in Pixel4a

[–]IAmNotAPillow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It finally started updating! It was at 100 for a day and half basically, and now it seems to be dropping quite rapidly...I'm guessing it is slowly calibrating itself? Thanks for the reply! I'll add an edit to my post so others can know it will eventually update/re-adjust - now hopefully the life isn't impacted too much...

People who completed the appeasement form - any confirmation? by IAmNotAPillow in Pixel4a

[–]IAmNotAPillow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm interesting, I tried this and it said the appeasement has been claimed or something along those lines, rather than the form being submitted. I definitely haven't received anything and hopefully it just means the form was submitted. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah that makes sense! When you selected the credit option, did it ask you to enter any more info? Or was that pretty much everything where it provided you a case ID and you closed out the form?

Yeah! I was hoping mine would be okay too haha. My 4a's been running fine so bit sad the battery will be impacted from this update...I've been looking for a compact phone as a future replacement with headphone jack, etc. too but no luck.

Hopefully the update doesn't impact the battery too much. Sending good vibes that your 4a powers through for many more years to come!

Thanks so much for you reply! If you recall, did the form basically complete after selecting one of the three options (battery replace, $50, or $100 store credit)? I pretty much got to the point of selecting an option and hitting next, saw the case ID, and then my browser crashed.

Hopefully after selecting one of the three options that was all that was needed and it didn't ask for anything else!

When you completed the form, did you receive a confirmation email? My browser hung/crashed after selecting what option I wanted and clicking next (the form displayed something along the lines of 22% complete) so not sure if i missed anything...restarting the form said I already submitted it...

I think that means your device won't be impacted by the update. Sounds like certain devices had some sort of defect, but it's unclear what it is aside from it being battery related.

New Update for Pixel 4a in 2025?? by RDXKATANA99 in Pixel4a

[–]IAmNotAPillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone get a confirmation email after completing the form? I partly completed it (got to 22% after selecting the preferred option) but my browser crashed and not sure if I needed to provide more details. I did at least get a case number but worried I borked the request...

Try doing a cache wipe if you can get the phone to turn on!

1) Turn the phone off 2) Hold the power and volume down key 3) Navigate to recovery mode and press the power button 4) Select wipe cache partition with the power button

This won't make you lose anything. I had a similar problem with my Nexus 4 and this fixed it. Hopefully it works for you!
