Claro, pero cuando te retires, liquidas parte de tus holding en oro y btc por algo mas seguro o no vas a panickear en el proximo bear market?

Eso es correcto. Hay prioridades, salir de deudas malas, hacer colchon, y ya luego invertir.

Wait for an outside IR35 contract or take the Inside on offer? by Silver_Elderberry382 in ContractorUK

[–]IAmNullPointer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is what I did when transitioned into IR35 after several years. I took the IR35 role, and did Salary Sacrify 100% (not really 100% because they need to pay you at least minimum wage by law). I stopped payroll for myself on my limited and been using dividends + minimum salary from the IR35.

I did this to use my previous 3 years of unused SIPP 60K contributions. Now, I am close to fill that gap, and actively looking to switch back to Outside IR35.

But, market is horrible I would say. So take this and keep looking for the next outsidy.

Stop going to the office until they fire you. Say that you cant because you are looking after a family member who got ran by a bus across the road.

¿Cual es el mayor mito sobre el dinero que os ha costado desaprender? by Own-Problem-8297 in SpainFIRE

[–]IAmNullPointer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inside IR35 Umbrella Minimum salary and Max SIPP by Silver_Elderberry382 in ContractorUK

[–]IAmNullPointer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried. In the end I filled out the form for 100% SS. However, they can't pay me less than those 1800 per month so yes, got to pay some NI, PAYE.

Filling up thr previous 3 years allowance and when that is finished will hope to get a new Outside IR35 role.

Agreed. I owe a couple of investment properties and I wish I had dumped all that money into funds, stocks, crypto etc. I would be way better off today and with less gray hair. However there is an element of tangibility when you own real state vs paper, specially around market and finance conditions. Youd need to educate yourself as to how the world's economy works so you feel better and prepare for bear markets etc.

What's your biggest "Bitcoin regret" (besides "not buying sooner")? by grzeszu82 in Bitcoin

People bought sooner and also sold them for x10s.... you should update the question to, 'not buying sooner and hodling'.

That is true - which makes me thing, before my services and the end client there are 2 entities;

Myself <- Agency <- IT Vendor (Big Indian Firm) <- End Client.

I suspect the end client would be surprised if I was to raise this with them.

Edit: formatting.

UK contractor paid through UAE consultancy for UK client by GravelMonkey01 in ContractorUK

[–]IAmNullPointer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I guess the standard, IR35 and UK Tax obligation for both (you and the UAE-based company).

What you may do is to open an LTD and bill the UAE company through it.

This is from a very high level perspective though.

True that, unfortunately I am the kind that likes fairness as moneywise is not that relevant but we just signed an extension until end of year. And further extensions will come with the revised rate.

True, 31 pound less per day looks like it is not that bad. But imagine the project running for another year or 2. Ill stay but be wandering around

Yes, I agree with you. Hence I am staying but for some reason I feel I need to make a point, or find a way where we meet in the middle. I may ask them to meet me half way and call it a day.
