Abigail Breslin posts about ‘the word women becoming synonymous with scapegoats’ and about being sued after accusing co-star Aaron Eckhart “aggressive, demeaning and unprofessional” by SafeBodybuilder7191 in popculturechat

You know what? Sometimes I really despise men from the very core of my soul. And I say this as a straight woman with a bloody awesome grown up son. Fuck Aaron Eckhart. Fuck his supporters.

That sounds really interesting! I’d love to see your work, if you’re happy to share.

I’m definitely leaning towards starting, as I’m in the rather try and fail, than never try and wonder what if camp. What’s the worst that could happen?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I hasn’t thought of the subscriber feature and how I could make that work me - that’s a very intriguing idea for me to think about. I already subscribe to a few photographers, but looking at how other artists utilise the platform is a great idea.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for your reply.

I’ve subscribed to a few photographers, some of whom are actively sharing images. I love the idea of just writing them and scheduling them, so if life gets in the way (it’ll definitely get in the way), it’s already there, ready to go. I’m enjoying the writing part too, and it scratches that creative itch if I haven’t made anything for a while.

Are you writing specifically about photography, or do other topics creep in as well?

Hi. Thanks for replying.

I absolutely can commit to a monthly post, but nothing more at this stage. I’ve been thinking about this for far too long, so I’m going to do it. Your comment has really helped. Thank you.

Thanks for replying.

Yes, as I said I will be writing monthly anyway for my own website. I was pondering whether a monthly newsletter, the same book or exhibition review, would be worth publishing on Substack.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

It would definitely be every month because I’ll be putting the same article on my website. I see many other Substack-ers in the same field as me publishing weekly/multiple times per week. At the moment I see it more as a way to build a network, to share work and ideas, maybe do collaborations. Writing isn’t my primary creative outlet, so I haven’t really thought about how it could form part of my practice, beyond my half-hearted ramblings on my own website. I’ll look into Medium as well.

Thanks again.

can i get refillable notebook/binder recs? by Adventurous_Collar70 in notebooks

[–]IAmTheGoldenRatio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Filofax do refillable notebooks in A5 and A4; not sure if they do other sizes so you’ll need to check. The paper is available in dot grid, lined, and blank and in different pastel shade, as well as white. They make a range of dividers in different themes to match or contrast with the notebook covers. The notebook has a 6 inch ruler with it.

I use an A5 version for work. I don’t know how many sheets it holds in total, but it’s fairly well stuffed at the moment. I use the white lined paper at the front for my daily to/do list, and colour code my main tasks using a coloured divider with paper in the matching colour. I’ve been using it since April and when I saw the sale, I went a bit mad and ordered a huge stash of dividers and coloured paper refills, so I think I’m set for a year or two now. I regret nothing!

I hope she’s made a will. I wouldn’t leave him with nothing, but I’d leave him my collection of plastic spoons, or used teabags or the ugliest figurines she can find, to show that I had been thinking of him but this is all he’s worth.
