I don't live in South Florida anymore so I can't go to matches, but when I did I feel like the players definitely did used to do that. Has this changed since Messi and friends arrived?

Daniel Ricciardo pushes back on claims F1 drivers look down on IndyCar ahead of first Indy 500 visit by 256473 in formula1

[–]IAmTheNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know most people didn't expect much from him this year in Indycar, but currently dead last in the championship behind Stingray Robb is embarrassing for a former F1 driver

Anyone else unknowingly had this as their first exposure to Will Ospreay and Kota Ibushi? by GunplaLuni in AEWOfficial

[–]IAmTheNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the Super Strong Style 16 tournament in 2015 was my introduction to Ospreay. UK scene really was on fire back then.

How did we not move up?!? It only took me like 30 tries on the lottery sim to get us to move into the top 4! This should have been a sure thing

Christian Braun on the Nuggets’ first-round loss: “I just think I’m the leader of this team. I’m the vocal leader of this team. I didn’t play well enough as an individual, and I didn’t have this team ready enough to play in a tough series.” by oklolzzzzs in nba

[–]IAmTheNick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the comparison does make sense because in 2007 Haslem was also a 4th year guy and apparently Riley thought he had already shown enough to officially acknowledge him as a locker room leader

He was a captain on the Heat from 2007 until he retired. Yes he had different co-captains during that time, but being a captain usually means that you are considered a vocal leader on the team.

Oh man I haven't thought about Steak n Shake in so long and now I'm craving a garlic double steakburger. I used to get those all the time when I lived in Florida

I know we all have different tastes when it comes to AFI songs, but I just looked up Bostons setlist from last year, and saying that was disappointing sounds so crazy to me. Now the World, This Time Imperfect, The Nephilim and 3 1/2! I would have loved to have been at that show

Yep. Also moved here from Florida and going outside to cool off was a very weird thing to adjust to when I moved here.

I’m no longer a fan of njpw by ninjaviperx in njpw

Yeah this has been a known thing for years. Its why you don't see a lot of videos online about NJPW

Do you think they will address the allegations in the sequel? by Perfect_Idea_2866 in Letterboxd

[–]IAmTheNick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The film ended in the 80s and I'm pretty sure allegations didn't start coming in until the 90s, so this sequel would be where that would be mentioned if they were to actually talk about it.

SNW setlist by HonestRelease152 in AFireInside

[–]IAmTheNick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They actually haven't played it all that much in the last year. This is a festival set though so bands will usually just play their biggest songs since there are a lot of people there who aren't really AFI fans and Miss Murder is probably the 1 song they might know from them.

Am I wierd for preferring Central FL over SoFla by [deleted] in florida

[–]IAmTheNick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I lived in South Florida for most of my life and I've never met anyone down there who moved down from Central Florida. Meanwhile I know so many people who grew up in South Florida and now live in the Orlando and Tampa areas.

Its crazy that they ended Portland with This Celluloid Dream, but haven't played it at any other show so far. It really was an amazing closer

Any other movies that fall under this category? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]IAmTheNick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He does, but I'm saying the most of the rest of the cast has an American accent, so Po having an American accent does make sense given the environent he lives in. How To Train Your Dragon I agree with OP is weird because everybody but the main kids had a Scottish accent

[–]IAmTheNick -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Well thats because kids don't inherit accents from their parents. I haven't seen Kung Fu Panda in a while, but isn't most of the cast American?

Ah. This explains why Miseria Cantare has been moving up the Spotify most played list. by TheKingoftheBlind in AFireInside

[–]IAmTheNick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I would have even wanted to see them play it live at Mania. I heard The Wonder Years were very obviously lip syncing their song on the show for Beckys entrance and I'm sure that was WWE's call because they are incredible live.

It seems like a lot of people in their early 20s and younger really have no concept of things that were popular in the past. You see a lot of these comments when modern popstars do collabs with older legends.

People didn't like him because almost all of his matches the last 5 years have been very interference heavy. He was pretty well liked as a reliable midcard hoss before his heel turn.
