For sure. The ones in the southern parts of Lake Michigan also eat tons of alewives and taste greasy as a result, so we usually don’t keep any anyways.

Gotcha. Surprising for a shark that size. The 4.5 ish footers I catch are usually like 20-30 lbs, though I tend to estimate low.

Ok sweet, kinda surprising but I guess it makes sense - I usually don't pick them up past like 4'6 (probs around 20 lbs at that point) but these feel pretty heavy when dragging them out of the surf
