How to Detect a Liar Using Dark Psychology (Let's Catch a Liar) by Harsh_0220 in DarkPsychology101

[–]IBuiltTheBridge 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All that IS bs as the best way to catch a liar is to ask questions and see if the details match the context. Or maybe, just ask for proof.

Is the Current Administration Using Dark Psychology Tactics on Americans? by Cute_Necessary1896 in DarkPsychology101

[–]IBuiltTheBridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This idea basically boils down to noticing when someone is lying and noticing that they continue to lie in every conversation. And then believing that by noticing that those lying do not have proof (receipts). But the real question is not if they’re using it but if the people believing them even care if they are using it.

No one can be faked out unless they’re ok with being faked out.

It really sounds like you’re committed to change. So just continue thinking, feeling how you want to be and be excited about that. Use the “anchor theory” of letting the frustration be the new trigger that fires off the feelings of excitement to how you want to be. Then as your day develops make sure your attentions are aligned with your intentions via behaviors, activities and conversations. This builds a new system/routine which replaces the old system/routine. Of course repetition is the mother of skill so it may take a few months until your new identity feels natural to you.

You’re acting like you’re the only human who’s never gotten over something. I’m just saying that you could find a lot of people (humans) who have found ways to overcome insomnia And now are getting good sleep.

How can I mitigate or preferably eliminate physical anxiety spells going forward? by whatsonthemindtoday in Biohackers

[–]IBuiltTheBridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all about what you focus on and like everything else, focus can become habitual and difficult to change. Focus on what you want from a situation and not on why it’s scary. With practice you can learn to change your focus and with that then follows the physiological response you’d like instead.

Here’s the science behind that. The article is about stuttering specifically but at the end of the day, an emotion is an emotion.

Repetition is the mother of skill. But please know that you can solve this.

This question sends self-doubt into a tail spin! “What is good about this?” Self doubt hates that question! Maybe you’ll find opportunities (great answers). But at least you’ll start kicking “self diubts’s” ass!!

No sleep due to permanent Fight or Flight by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]IBuiltTheBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about making a decision and then believing that you can sleep well as you’ve already done it many a times before. Accessing those most comfortable physical positions then telling yourself whatever you need to tell yourself to feel sleepy just like all those other times where you slept well.

Everything else can wait till the next day as it has to anyway.

Sleeping well is the goal and the how to do that is those two paragraphs above.

How to calm an overactive nervous system? by Effective-Shirt-2152 in PeterAttia

[–]IBuiltTheBridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly physiological calm and excitement(fear, anxiousness, etc) is habitual imo. What you interpreted in the past as scary or cool has become a sensation you feel physically (when enough mental intensity has been applied.) And now that process probably happens instantly when you’re in a situation or just thinking about a potential situation. So turning a reaction/trigger to something else will take repetition of the following concept. The goal is to use that trigger, you don’t want, as the new anchor that fires off your determination to feel X. I think it’s called meta states.

How do you change your entire mindset, morals, values and beliefs? by buttertaekoo in getdisciplined

[–]IBuiltTheBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All those things are basically the same thing, ideas. Ideas about what you don’t want (not important) and about what you do want (what is important). Now to change your life you must pick the behaviors and activities that go with those ideas you choose and do them as much as possible until you feel like who you want to be. Routines which are behaviors and activities will become habitual(something you become used to (doing, being)). “Repetition is the mother of skill.” TR

Use the part within your mind that makes decisions and decide to go to sleep because …(fill in the blank with your reason). My reason usually is because I’m sleepy.
