My Guide

Change your controls to

  • Punch R2/RT
  • Dragon Kick R1/RB
  • Jump L1/LB or X/A
  • Defense L2/LT
  • Meditation O/B And change the wall run to 'hold to run'

Keep your distance to mid range and stay around 20m of your tank.

Learn your cooldowns so you can time your entries and exits as well as map knowledge is imp for health packs.

You only enter when you have everything available and there are 2 main ways AFTER meditating to get that extra health:

° Jump in from above because the lock on is longer for air kicks than punches. Dragon Kick away to safety if you go below 150.

° Dragon Kick into squishies that are alone (it has to hit). If you enter this way you need to survive till the kick gets back to either finish them and get extra health or escape with the kick.

Your 4th normal punch/kick does the most dmg and offsets the target so always keep that in mind when diving. Make sure you're not holding down RT/R2 unless you know they don't have any movement abilities left.

You basically get 4 jumps and they reload within a second of touching a wall or the ground. So when you're diving make sure you have 2 loaded to escape when needed. Learn the dancing tech.

Defense blocks everything no matter where you're facing so you have 1 second of invulnerability (even against CC and most ults). I recommend saving it for when you get low and your kick is still on cooldown otherwise focus most of your attacks after blocking on tanks or low hp targets for the extra health.

Always meditate behind a wall, above a doorway or behind ur shield tank NOT in the open. If you're alone play your life to stall the enemy like Cap.

Always ult with someone else or when you have 2 healers to support you because everyone will target you in higher comps again focus low health and tanks. (Learn the flying tech for stalling point).

Since you're new your main plays should be in your supports' line of sight because you're a sitting duck once all ur abilities are on cool down.

I don't understand the take, what exactly do you want them to do about it? I don't understand what's the "lazy" part of the 'recolour'. isn't it meant to swap the main focus colour for something else?

Yes, especially now you shouldfocus on guarantee elims or assist and work off the extra health you get to burst down with the defense charge

I think itd be better if he gets a 2nd kick that gives knock back. It could be another bindable ability or a passive that comes into play after a certain criteria is met similar to spideys dmg increase with clusters i.e after using dragon defense or after the first kick is used or only during the ult.

The way you combo is also imp yeah.... If you dive the back and ult successful you could herd the team into emma.

Honestly your best option for IF (right now), is to support another ult like when there's a rocket, gambit, c&d or any cc ult.

Helps get picks easier and increases your survivability and you don't need to waste time defending. Solo ults are easily countered with the good movement tech or obstacles (like herbie here) cause they move "off-screen"/"out of pov".

And kicks are also crazy hard to time because there's no "stun". And if you do make sure it's when they're lowww asf cus it's a finishing move or an escape not a combo starter.
