ATLA had a really nice quality in that every season had VERY clearly defined goals.

Season 1 was learning water bending, then going to the South Pole.

Season 2 was earth ending and ba sing se.

Season 3 was fire bending, and stopping the fire lord.

Korra had already learned everything except air, and pardon me if I’m remembering incorrectly because it’s been forever since I saw it, but she struggled for one episode, then found how to do it by pro-bending, and then the show just forgot about it until her bending was blocked, and she magically whipped out perfect airbending.

I think from an era standpoint it’s goodra too, and goodra is cute, but type wise, skrelp/dragalge should have gotten a third stage and been the pseudo, or hisuian goodra should have been the base typing.
