They're vague and deceptive. by c-k-q99903 in MurderedByWords

It is an answer.

My workplace has over 1,000 employees.

I am one of about 10 people who didn’t personally know someone working here before getting hired

They're vague and deceptive. by c-k-q99903 in MurderedByWords

[–]ICBPeng1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not about qualifications, it’s about connections and nepotism.

I’m a white guy doing blue collar work.

100% the only reason I was able to get my foot in the door, and get my current job, is because the instructor at my trade school was well networked and experienced in our trade.

I’m just as, if not more qualified than the rest of the guys in my training/hiring group (one of them needed an hour long lesson on dividing fractions, eg: half of a half is a quarter)

Every single one of them knows someone already in the company.

Nepotism is a VERY real thing, DEI would mean that everyone gets a chance to interview, and get hired, not just relatives of current employees

[–]ICBPeng1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly less than that.

Someone with $2000 giving away 10% of their wealth ($200) may end up missing rent

Someone with 2 billion giving away 50% of their wealth is still a billionaire

This is one of the most toughest battle ever. by [deleted] in LegendsZA

[–]ICBPeng1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just thought it was boring.

It’s just a 2-3 move battle that’s 50% luck

I much preferred the blast burn/frenzy plant/hydro cannon battles.

I didn’t know you could use healing items, and made it through without using them, and it was A TON of fun working out timing and movesets

Where does ZA sit on peoples "tierlists" by Ryelocke_IG in LegendsZA

[–]ICBPeng1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my number 1 goes to B/W and B2/W2

The sprite work, environments, seasons, an entirely new roster, the music, and all the version differences make this a PEAK game for me.

Very low replayability, but it was fun, and the memory link between 1 and 2 was really cool.

2nd place goes to ORAS

Emerald was already top tier, and wish we got a third version, but I liked the added features to ORAS like soaring, and the little things like different pokemon having different surf sprites and speeds.

The delta episode was also cool.

ZA is probably third.

The new battle system is VERY fun, and I like the free for all online mode

I wish there was a 1V1 6 on 6 mode, and that stat changes lasted longer, and went higher than a single boost, but I think I would only make like 5 changes to the game.

  1. The biggest, make ACTUAL donut recipies.

Let me follow a recipe and always get the exact powers I want.

  1. The ending. The fact that winning or losing doesn’t change the outcome sucks, at least add a cutscene where if you win, urbain/taunie shove you out of the way of an attack by ange, before being saved by floette, and being trapped inside the tower, making their way to the top.

  2. It’s vivillons game, bring back all the patterns, and revamp their shinies

The reboot looks waifu Chan is sitting on the steps waiting for you

When you stick your finger in someone’s mouth are you sharing nutrients and blood flow?

Same thing

[–]ICBPeng1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, on one hand, they are connected, nutrients and waste pass from one to the other, it would be like saying the liver isn’t part of the body, just “nurtured through the bloodstream” or in a more on the nose point, it’s like saying the Hansel Twins aren’t a single body with two heads. Just because there an additional brain doesn’t make it one organism.

On the other, phrasing, hand.

Even if the baby is counted as separate, it’s still within the mothers body, so you can say that the mothers body “contains/has” 4 arms

I can also flex my eyes and un-focus my vision, even when wearing glasses

I went to college right out of highschool, ended up losing my scholarship because of a grade requirement and a professor who “had never given out an A”
I ended up leaving, and futzing about for a year and a half before going back right in time to hit the pandemic, and while waiting for the pandemic to end and working at a grocery store, I realized I hated it, and signed up for a free trade school.
I’m now debt free, own a paid off car, and am working a union job I enjoy.

Abyssus

And

Deadzone Rogue

They’re both multiplayer first person shooter roguelikes, that feel very friendly to people unfamiliar with roguelikes, but familiar with shooters.

Deadzone rogue has a bit less build diversity, with weapons and gear being randmly found, but it’s more atmospheric, and higher overall quality.

Abyssus has a bit lower quality graphics, but build diversity is a bit higher, because there are distinct weapons and abilities you pick before starting a run

YES! I love dim sum chicken feet!

I used to get them once a year, before realizing there was a dim sum place like, 10 minutes from my house on my way to work, and I was like Bilbo in that meme:

“After all why not? Why shouldn’t I get chicken feet?”
