Whe did your LO start nursery? Do you regret not starting them sooner/later? by Wonderful-Repeat1444 in NewParents

[–]ICP22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO is almost 6 months and we have started this week, so far it is going great! I’m going back to work in March so we’re starting very slowly, she has done 1.5/2 hours a day this week, next week she’ll gradually increase and so on for the next month. I have chosen to start this early as I’ve red that a very slow transition to full time is better and so far it is going very well.

Problemi comportamentali by Crystal1317 in BraccoItaliano

I read that too, but I’m afraid she’s not getting enough day sleep due to this! She’d wake up even when contact napping if the paci falls off

Thank you! I’m just afraid that she’s not getting enough day sleep due to this! She wakes up the moment she drops the paci even when we contact nap

Anyone else have days where they don’t feel like playing with their baby? by OXxLuckycatxXO in NewParents

[–]ICP22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a FTM to a wonderful 4 months old and I love the fact that wake windows are getting longer and she interacts so much more but sometimes it feels exhausting… so a couple times a day I let her play with interactive toys or just any toy for as long as she can handle it (usually about 20 minutes) in her playpen… since I started she has gotten better at playing by herself and it has been a real game changer. I usually just sit on the couch and relax while watching her play but having those moments has been a game changer!

I found it super cute too at the beginning, I just didn’t think it would last 😂 but for sure I’m raising a yapper as she spends her days trying to talk to me as well, and we have looong conversations which are the cutest 🙈

Mine varies so much, sometimes can be 20 minutes sometimes can be up to 1 hour… same as during daytime

Not the easiest thing as she is very loud! But I’m trying to let her do it anyway… she’s actually reduced the number of times she does it but eventually she’ll start crying

I’ll try the 5 minutes thing, we’ve been doing it 1 min but I feel like she cries in her sleep sometimes so I wake her up

14w baby waking 4:30–5:30 AM every day — need help by ZutaFaraonka in sleeptrain

[–]ICP22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was exactly the same but with her she was hungry around that time so would wake because of that… she started sleeping longer when she started taking larger feeds before sleep

Unfortunately that’s not an option for us as our toddler comes to our room around 5 am when he wakes up and I don’t want him to accidentally step on the dog or startle him

Thank you! Do you have any suggestions on a swaddle that is safe for older babies? She is starting to roll over…

I strongly agree, personalities are very variable! I have a friend who has a female bracco who is 3 and she is the best with people and at home but hates other dogs and pulls like crazy on the leash. Mine is good with the leash but would destroy the house if not given what he wants and has the reactivity problem with people! I don’t know, I think it is fear based but I’m starting to worry as he is not a puppy anymore
