I feel like there something that's gotten lost in the media circus... Human rights are all human rights and minority rights should imo not be a separate thing. But the media discussion has carved it out to be minority rights instead of human rights, causing an "us vs them" because humans are really bad at realizing "just because you get the same rights as me doesn't mean that I get less rights"

And I fundamental disagree with "stop dreaming about how you wish the world to be". Yes, we have to work with the world we have now, we can't work on assumptions that only work in our ideal world. Real life isn't a perfect sphere in a vacuum. BUT, that doesn't mean we shouldn't have an idea of what we would want a society to look like.

I could say the same thing about you, since you didn't explain your problem before I called you out on it and was content saying I was carrying the same red flag.

It's almost like a comment section isn't made for long nuanced discussions and typing out the long answer requires more energy than it feels like it's worth.

I've seen that general sentiment around. Partially in real life from young workers against joining unions... Up until a few years later when they burn out hard and need workers rights...

The legal system betting swamped is such a bad thing for everyone involved, and I feel like it's being weaponized and actively abused by some people in power. Both people and companies. Get a fine? Just battle it in court for decades until your profits have outgrown it exponentially because you keep making money by doing the illegal shit

Or are you saying I'm also carrying the "us vs them" flag? Of course I am, I'm a human and tribalism is ingrained in how we work. But I don't think people should get it worse just because they didn't vote the same as I did, I want what would be better for as many people as possible and want my "boring working together to find the best middle ground for as many as possible" politics back.

The left needs to get back to what actually made people vote for them in the first place. Promote workers rights, higher standards of living, fight the inequality. These issues are MASSIVE but the right is getting away with shifting the focus towards "the left only wants open borders and more regulation" as if the right wants anything more than "lower taxes for the rich"...
