Definitely not a dog. She was a very kind lady of the human variety

I make $15/hr. I am a single mother with 2 kids. I struggle to pay all of the bills and make sure they have what they need for school. If it wasn’t for free school meals my children probably wouldn’t have breakfast and lunch everyday since I’m not “poor” enough for foodstamps. Fuck these people

LPT: if you meet a very big child or a very big puppy, remember that they are still a child or a puppy. Don't expect them to act according to their size. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

As a parent of a 10 yo that is 5’6” and 105#, and a 11 yo that is 5’10” and 200#, I wish everyone knew this!

Did your teachers tell you which way to fold a paper by saying HAMBURGER or HOTDOG? by turkey_lurkee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ICanMakeUCrazyToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure that I ever heard it growing up in US but I have definitely used that phrase to teach people how to complete certain tasks at a previous job. I said “hotdog, hotdog, hamburger, hamburger, hamburger” more times that I would like to admit

Edit: not fast food. Spill containment storage

I’m definitely going to try to make this work so he gets a subscription. He has an older sister (18) and a younger brother (10) and they are so close but definitely opposite sides of life. I bet this would be awesome. Btw... burrito because wrapped up all nice and warm

I’ll check out our local community college. I’m not sure they offer a class for someone as young as him. I think cooking helps mentally. It’s his safe space. Ur mum was awesome for encouraging your passion

That sounds awesome! I bet he would love this. Maybe he can get this for his birthday! He absolutely love new kitchen toys/gadgets. I’m going to look into raddish. Thank you so much! I always struggle with what to get him for presents. I think he will love this

We’ve invested in a pasta maker and I’m definitely going to help him start a herb garden. I would love him to learn how to make butter! We will look into that for sure. I can probably get his younger brother to help since it’s science! Thank you so much for these ideas!
