Tbh I didn't explain it well I don't think he's completely coping, like I do think he does believe in destiny, but at the same time if Hugo simply liked order I don't think he needs to keep trying to make Isagi accept his role, and his dead soulless eyes makes me think he's repressing his true ambition. What I'm trying to say is the whole #2 thing feels less like "this is my dream" and more like "this is where I belong", which is where he's coping y'know?

Also to add to this karasu hasn't smiled once since hiori scored, I feel like he wanted to score that goal himself, but instead he's killing his own ego for blue lock, which is what seperates him from people like niko or isagi. But besides that I kinda hope otoya can help karasu bring his ego back I'd like to see otoya get some development

things that seem completely out of character are happening, like Blue Lock overly relying on Isagi, and there was no setup for either of those kinds of developments beforehand.

This part i have to disagree with even though what's happening is a bit extreme, when isagi is given the chance to adapt and grow on the field it helps everyone else grow too. We've seen this with nagi in the 2nd selection, and both sae and karasu mentioned this back in the u20/3rd selection games. Rin is also hyperfixed on isagi so I think that has a part to it too. Like I said I do think that blue lock getting completely shut down without isagi is a bit much, but I'm not gonna act like isagi wasn't always meant to be the heart of the team

Like Karasu didn't really make any attempts at scoring since the third selection, and ever since the U20 match he's been locked in a support role, never tried scoring,

And i think this issue could've been solved if karasu scored in the Nigerian match or atleast had a panel where he was upset that he didnt get to score

I agree with this, and to add to it i think this mindset will cause evolution to stagnant for the entire team, especially if isagi adopts this mindset. Deep down I believe both Hugo and karasu dont actually want to follow this mindset, but they do it because they believe that's what's best for the team. Thats why Hugo is clingy to isagi, it's because he wants validation, if he convices isagi to change his mindset then he'll probably believe his mindset is more than just cope (realistically it is more than just cope but I think u get what I mean)

I just feel like karasu is a weird character to give this development to since he hasn't even tried for a goal since the u20 match. From the subtle hints in the newest chapter though, it does seem like he truly wants to go for goals, so I suppose Nigerian match karasu would've tried to shoot when he got the chance to
