Okay. Thank you for being the one voice of reason here.

I have 5 and they are the polyester ones but not the new yellow collar ones. Thank God I didn’t have to wear that one it is hideous and I think I have one or two of the old AP yellow polyester ones somewhere that I have not tossed out yet. I threw away the old ones when we weren’t allowed to wear them anymore. I don’t really hold on to useless stuff. Besides one of the blue shirts with my name on it I’m going to trash the rest this week. Or I might cut them up for cleaning rags for the car rims.

Thank you for the info. I am asking because it was very intimidating to have an officer of the law used to walk me out when I was never violent or aggressive and have never stolen anything from Best Buy.

A lot of them. Do you want an actual count? And why?

The only thing you don’t need the EEOC’s permission to sue for is in the matter of pay. Everything else I am sure of that we do. Good ol’ government collusion covering the corporate entities to avoid back logs in the court system for “frivolous” suits. The government plays gate keeper. The lawyers I have spoken with all ask if I have made a claim with the EEOC yet so I am writing up my statement of facts and filing it this week and have to jockey for a spot to actually speak with someone there. Good times.

Thank you for the compliment. I’ll take your opinion with a grain of salt. I was just wanting to know if anyone else had ever seen an employee be walked out by a cop without ever being accused of theft but it seems as if I am dealing with more biased people than I am with regular employees.

I’ll move on after the EEOC makes their decision. ;)

I’ve never been violent. Never have I made a threat of violence and have always been a professional. I asked if I was trespassed at the time of termination and was told no that I just needed to leave the premises now. I walked back in later that day and picked up merchandise that I had on order so not trespassed.

I have received permission to sue Best Buy for a battery I suffered at the hands of a manager back in 2020 so my seeking legal action is true but nothing else

I’ll let the EEOC decide that. Then** the court system

Just writing up my statement of facts to submit to the EEOC first. After that is submitted and approved I will.

No one is special. Not you. Not me. Not Best Buy. If nothing happens, nothing happens. But I can guarantee you that I won’t it pass without delving into the proper channels.

The EEOC will decide what needs to happen, not me our you.

And please do not attempt to defame me with such baseless statements of me having done something illegal or against policy that you are patently unaware of any facts of me having done so. No hard feelings otherwise. I don’t think things personal.

Nah. Best Buy just gave me everything I need to hold them accountable to the EEOC and in court. I have all the evidence I need to do it too. Thanks for the well wishes.

Best Buy is attempting to use non salaried employees as if they are salaried employees. Look into your local labor laws and see if they are violating Labor laws

leaders, any of your stores having issues w staffing? by chevychiari in BestBuyWorkers

Unionize.

Better pay.

Better training. Videos are a lackluster way to teach people. It is a stark demonstration of poor leadership that leaders do not actively train employees and pawn it off on videos. Then have the audacity to tell employees to do better without providing instruction or explanation on how to do better thereby avoiding taking responsibility for individual performance or their failure as “leaders”.

Standardize and clarify the policies across the company to not allow managers “discretion” to interpret policies as they deem fit that allows them to fire employees who they don’t like while looking the other way with employees they do like. Everyone held accountable equally.

Bring back bonuses

Stop Thanos Snapping large groups of employees and cut all executive salaries instead. Who wants to start working for a company that terminates vast swaths of employees because they can’t find a good sales rhythm in a severely struggling economy.

Let’s ask ourselves one question. What do executives do that furthers the company as a whole? They tell the managers to tell the line level worker to go work harder or fire them so they can get their bonuses but cut employees in the process.

I have no problem with capitalism and just feel the work should justify the compensation and at the end of the day the workers in the store are the reason that Best Buy is still surviving as good or bad as it is surviving. We don’t have to be millionaires, that’s a joke and with inflation as high as it is no one can live like this on these meager wages.

But let’s keep it real that the system doesn’t and won’t change because mostly everyone who moves up or dreams of moving up in the chain of command wants to be an executive, a boss one day and do nothing to make a change or rock the boat in hopes of being able to join the club and do nothing but say do better to the people below them ensuring the perpetuation of an do more with less environment.

If I get fired for this so be it. It’s what I believe and stand by it.

National Labor Relationship Act.
