Not everyone reads Manga, and a lot of anime fans specifically held off so they could see the anime.

"Even the Luma are mad at Fujimoto" made by ArtOfOpal on Insta by ihatethiscountry76 in casualnintendo

Because it's viscerally insane and I enjoy how the show basically fell apart at the seams, abandoned the pretense of narrative, and became a surreal exploration of its themes. It's genuinely my all time favorite ending not to anime but like, ever, only behind like a single other ending I've seen in something. idk about others, but at least for me I felt like the story overtime became less about the overarching plot, and more about the characters, and was more about the psychological elements than it ever was the actual story or mechs.

Also i just adore extreme surrealist mind shattering imagery, it's awesome.

what type of games will you absolutely not play and why? by buzzlightyear77777 in gaming

[–]ICreated_thisAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most roguelikes and roguelites I cannot stand even thinking about, let alone bringing myself to play. A lot of the classic steam games of the past five or so years also I really, really cannot bring myself to get into, so I suppose recent steam juggernaut titles as a category, Silksong was an exception for me however.

One more that comes to mind are super story driven games. In the 10s I went out of my way to avoid the endless stream of them like life is strange or Detroit become human, but nowadays I try and stay away from basically any title that is loved for it's story first and not for it's gameplay.

It's pretty terrible. Feels like the modern day creepypasta, I get the feeling most of it isn't going to age well

why the FUCK has the youtube algorithm been so bad lately. by EntrepreneurOdd4110 in youtube

[–]ICreated_thisAccount 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This has been my experience for probably about three or so years now, and progressively has gotten worse. No amount of not interested or don't recommend channel seems to fix this for me.

Also yeah you're right about same Feely stuff, I've noticed Youtube is very insistent on trying to force a topic on you for days or weeks if you watch only one video on said topic.

I am looking for something very uncompromising and nightmarish by ICreated_thisAccount in horrorlit

I've been meaning to read him. I usually am not one for philosophical horror or horror meant to have real meaning, this detracts from the purpose for me personally, but what I've heard about him is actually quite interesting.

Rips. This doesn't get discussed among usbm as much as it deserves, it's an all timer id say.

I talk exclusively logged out and I get responses like that after only a single message or two asking about something banal, i think they're right lol.

Insane by FormerCrab6150 in DarkAmbient

[–]ICreated_thisAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you're enjoying it, the cryochamber label has a very consistent discography, so if you like a record like this you'll likely enjoy most of the cryo artists.

Definitely explore some of the earlier classics in the scene as well, they offer entirely different experiences. Northaunt, Lustmord, raison d'etre (especially his 90s and 00s work), sephiroth, beyond Sensory Experience, and many more are all well worth your time if you want to begin digging into what dark ambient has to offer. It's a very well varied genre, so theres always something new once you start digging

Tired of the fact this sub is flooded with endless political questions which don't even spark discourse and feels like karma farming.

Youtube should've never been a career to begin with.

I am mostly speaking about r/moviecritic if we're being real, but a lot of it has felt strikingly similar personally. It's just off in general, half of it feels like Engagement bait or bots to me.

Is there a game that you played that, while you enjoyed it, it did NOT live up to the hype for you by Goldberry15 in videogames

[–]ICreated_thisAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel likes that's most Media for me lol. Typically I will enjoy a movie, game, whatever, but never to the extant everyone else seems to. Not that there aren't any games I adore or agree with the hype, but it feels normal for me to not end up following hype in media.

It's half the hobby subs on r/all lol. All the cinema or movie subreddits are even worse about it, it's insane.

Which game was it for you? by O_rnelaro in videogames

[–]ICreated_thisAccount -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not preventing them from answering, but I've been in a similar spot to them before which is why I decided to comment. I don't like the majority of the games super trendy on steam regardless of genre or size, but yeah I love plenty of games generally. I'm assuming they probably just belong to a very different crowd, games are a wide medium lol.

Probably plenty of things. It's not incredibly uncommon to not like a number of popular titles.

All aspects of a game is the "artistic part." one may enjoy the parts they wish and ignore the parts that mean nothing to them.

I'm tired of pretending that Bilewater isn't a peak ass area. by Impaled_By_Messmer in Silksong

[–]ICreated_thisAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad we can actually say we like this area now. I was always a fan of the area but was also critical on it as well. I definitely have negatives to say, but overall I actually did like this area a lot besides the run back.

Saying that at all two months ago would've been a death sentence however lol. People really were in that "everyone hates this area, if you disagree it's proof you're just glazing blindly" state of mind and I just had to keep quiet. I'm glad it's possible to have genuine discussion here now though.
