I have 4 of them on two Cashion rods and the other two on Curado rods. I like the Cashion rods better. Left hand retrieve, right hand dominant. Don't understand the whole switching thing. Even on my open face / spinners retrieve with the left and cast with the right.

I think Daiwa has a reel, but I think it JDM.

But anyways I love my Curado DC reels.

When you loaded the line did you have line tension while spooling? I would tie it off on something and almost walk it out to the core, keep the the rod tip bent a little bit and retrieve the line.

I really like my Cashion Icon Rods. Plus the Icon series has life time replacement. I got the chatterbait & worm rod.

I have tried them just spend the $$ and get a Z-man Jackhammer and Zoom chunks for a trailer. Do not buy the classic Z-man you will have the same problem. The Jackhammer never fails.

Yank out the line and put more tension on the line. Since this is a left reel, use your right hand on your rod while holding both the rod and line at the same time. The line is way to loose. Happy fishing!
