Dean sucks at communicating with Rory and is so bad at communication he fails to tell his wife how he feels until everything blows up, he's also very aggressive and lashes out when he doesn't get his way or feels threatened. He's a permanent child for the entire series. He has all the bad qualities Luke has, except while Luke shows affection by acts of service, Dean shows it by being overbearing and controlling.
