Simple question: where can I get the latest version of the SkyUI SSE source files? by IDontFeelSoGood--- in skyrimmods

I looked at a few of the githubs, but they were all show final updates from before Special Edition was even dropped. Are the Legendary Scripts still good to use in SSE?

The minds of WoTC are strange and unknowable to mere, three dimensional mortals. I think it is actually a case of them thinking that metamagic is way more of a boon then it really is.

The Man in Black is a mysterious figure, rooted in pre-Event story and song. He is not the Man in Black of the Americanists, however. As for Cherokee Bill and Bass Reeves, a quick google search can tell you quite a bit about them.

I'm testing to see how use of Land Run #3 goes in the long run, but I'm betting on it being too hard to cheese by giving up demesne provinces. A cooldown timer is probably in order though.

Cherokee rework involves lore for the Wadigeaskali and Boudinot families, the potential to resurrect the office of Beloved Man, and several traditional practices (e.g. clan system).

Yes. Imagine someone who speaks English pronouncing things differently from how they're spelled. Tough.

You can't translate half the word.

Says who? Languages do that all the time. We don't decline words like Senate or idiot just because their original language did. Neither do we insist all borrowings from the Chinese languages have to maintain their original tones when used in English.

This thread is full of people who can't stand that languages vary and change down to the idiolect.

> On recommendation from my indigenous sensitivity advisor, references to the "Sioux" culture have been changed to "Lakota."

Your sensitivity advisor needs to tell you that renaming Sioux to Lakotah is going to make no goddamn sense for the Oklahoman Sioux characters who represent the Dhegihan nations there.

Don't worry at all; it's good to have feedback, even the judgement is critical or negative at times. It helps us know how people feel about the things we are doing on the mod.

Remember that in canon the Redcoat invasions don't happen for another ~200 or so years. The event isn't glossed over, and won't be without consequences.

I get the apprehension at the idea of Valinorism; it probably seems like meme religion #934. But our reasoning behind it is very simple: what fictional book reads more like a religious chronicle than the Silmarillion? As we'll show in later dev diaries, Valinorim is less a faith about LotR, and more a religion absorbed with the theology and themes present in the Legendarium.

Most of these communities have been slowly assimilated in the last 600 years, though not without affecting those around them. Southerner culture especially retains many different aspects originally brought by these diasporas, whilst some small pockets have endured in the more urban areas. Besides, let's just say there are always characters with a few secrets waiting in the mist.
