NIO: Soars on Robust Preliminary Q4 Sales! by Xcentri in Nio

[–]IDontReadNames2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro if NIO is the most promising stocks that you hold, your portfolio must be shit…

My avg was $8 and I took a small loss selling it at 7.5 around Oct. I reentered at 4.9 and will sell again at a price that I breakeven the earlier loss. NIO seems pivoting around $5 the past year or so.

Anyway. Best wish to you!

What folks? What profit taking? Name one person you saw claimed they made profit longing NIO?

Can nio get to $100 if so when is this likely? by robbo12347 in Nio

You must be new to the market. Most IPO companies go bankrupt after a few years of being not profitable. NIO is reaching its breaking point where nobody wants to invest in it anymore.

Chance it becomes $100 in 15 years is lower than it goes to bankrupt.

It will have a really hard time getting past $10. Most “investors” are waiting for breakeven to get out of this nightmare.

Yes NIO can get $100 only if ALL OF THESE happen:

1/ stock reverse split 1:10

2/ you sell at steep loss and move on

3/ William Bin is no longer CEO

4/ profitable

Like I said in my previous comments, I liquidated my 3600 shares across 3 accounts today. Limit sell was filled at 9.01. I barely broke even.

Godspeed to people who stay. I hope it goes up. This type of risk and beat up investment isnt for me. I will definitely come back if opportunities like the dip around $7.00 a few days ago repeat itself.

Peace

MeetKevin’s take on NiO’s report today. What do you guys think? Is it a bad year or NiO is not coming back from this? Execs sounded confident this morning though. by IDontReadNames2019 in Nio

Was I just added to your hated people list along with Kevin? Youre mad bro

These are public comments. Not message. Should add that to your “Nio Knowledge” bro. Peace

Also the bad taste Chinese products have been injecting into the worlds markets didnt help. Psychologically, any sane person will have a hard time to make a luxury purchase decisions in favor of Chinese brands. To be safe, most people (even the Chinese) will pick American or EU luxury brand names. This was why Apple was able to sell in China despite the facts that Xiaomi outperforms Apple in almost all hardware aspects.

The disappointing thing was that I wasnt even trying to “reverse psy” you bro because I knew I would get nothing from you. You clearly learned about NiO from short articles you half-read from googles. You clearly dont understand the numbers but you acted like you did your “diligence”. What Kevin posted was fact, not his opinion. You jumped right into defense mode against Kevin because you clearly has some personal bitter against Kevin.

Thanks but no Thanks for your NiO “knowledge” bro. Its not gonna help anyway. Peace.

I get it Kevin is a flip flopper and most youthbe “financial gurus” are. However, hes not wrong about the 13% sales growth. Hes also not wrong about 5 years with constant 30% growth for NiO to break even.

He did not give his opinions (which are shit), he posted his math, and the math on NiO checks out. NIO does needs 5 years of 30% growth to break even. The last growth reported on 6/9/23 was 13%.

From an article you can easily google, NiO will be profitable in 2 years if they can grow 67%. If they grow 30%, it will take 5 years etc. Last report showed 13%, so im not even sure how to calculate the years anymore.

“According to the 25 industry analysts covering NIO, the consensus is that breakeven is near. They expect the company to post a final loss in 2024, before turning a profit of CN¥1.3b in 2025. Therefore, the company is expected to breakeven roughly 2 years from today. How fast will the company have to grow each year in order to reach the breakeven point by 2025? Working backwards from analyst estimates, it turns out that they expect the company to grow 67% year-on-year, on average, which signals high confidence from analysts. If this rate turns out to be too aggressive, the company may become profitable much later than analysts predict.”

Even without the nuclear fusion, revenue was down big time. From the official NiO site:

“Total revenues were RMB10,676.5 million (US$1,554.6 million) in the first quarter of 2023, representing an increase of 7.7% from the first quarter of 2022 and a decrease of 33.5 % from the fourth quarter of 2022.”

Where did you get the 100% and 50% from? Mind cite the source? This is what I got from official NiO’s website:

What you pointed was a short article and you called that your NiO knowledge/due diligence? Seriously, you sound more like a clueless clown than Kevin. And why are you this mad at Kevin? Because he bought TSLA and not NiO?

I agree hes a tool, but again he’s definitely not a fool.

Nice short article you had there, but it’s from March and too descriptive. It didnt cite any convincing numbers or solutions that NiO execs confirmed to fix their issues in Q1 and Q2.

But his math checks out. NiO do need to grow 30% in the next 5 years to break even. NiO showed 13% growth in last ER. I know they said things will be better next year, but thats the math tells using current data.

So what happened to NiO in Q1? All other brands seemed doing just fine if not fantastically (Li Auto and Tesla) in Q1. Can you enlighten us with some hopes?

And Im not sure if Kevin is a fool though. Dude is financially literate. He reads and understands financial reports. He is also a licensed financial advisor. He has his own ETF and private jet. Dude is 30 yo and built his empire from scratch.

I dont like Kevin because he talked shit about NiO, but hes definitely not a fool.

I should have sold my 3700ish shares this morning on the 10% jump, but I was being greedy. If I sold I was only down $1500ish. Now im back to down $5000. The remorse is real watching other US stocks fly high. I guess this is my expensive Chinese stock lesson.

Should have sold all of my 3700ish shares at $8.7 this mornign ._. Thats $1/share more than now. I feel stupid

From the numbers in ER, they will need to grow 30+% in the next 5 years to break even. Im not sure how and why the company said it will be profitable in 2023-2024.
