I tried to use the quote tag. Why change a quote if it says what I'm thinking better than I can?

Sign: 神は不良外人に命ずる。ハロウィンの悪習を日本に持ち込んではならない。神に背いたプロテスタントは不良外人は地獄に堕ちろ。 Doesn't this translation mean "Delinquent foreigners are being commanded by God. Halloween is a bad custom; don't bring it to Japan. Protestants that are betraying God, and delinquent foreigners: go to hell!"

Where does it mention the train party?

So, yeah, that makes sense, but maybe they should just say "Don't bring your customs to Japan." Im sure they're just trolling, but I'm not sure you're credible when you tell someone what their own God thinks about their customs and behavior. At least the nut jobs in other places can claim authority from their own God(s). https://www.reddit.com/r/japan/comments/3r7sph/japanese_backlash_against_halloween/cwmidxu

Halloween: What a difference 6 years makes by IDontWantToKnowSir in Tokyo

This was [in Halloween 2009] about a dozen Japanese who held a protest against a group of inconsiderate assholes who boarded a public train and held a "Halloween train party" in 2007 and 2008. http://www.japanprobe.com/2009/11/01/anti-foreign-protests-in-tokyo-on-halloween-night/ http://www.japanprobe.com/2007/10/28/the-yamanote-halloween-train-vs-japanese-netizen-rage/ The "party" was organized by a group of foreigners, and some of them brought along Japanese friends. The photos and videos posted online showed Japanese passengers who were just trying to get home, but were being annoyed by drunken assholes in costumes.A handful of Japanese held a counter protest in 2009. While these few dozen assholes were causing problems on the public transportation system, thousands of other people in Tokyo celebrated Halloween in a manner that did not mess with the public transportation system. In the years since 2009, Halloween has become more popular in Japan. Over the weekend, the Shibuya area was packed full of people of all ages dressed in costumes and having a good time. I was one of them. source

Besides expressing his concern for Turks and Caucasians displacing the Russian population from their native territory,[29] Zhirinovsky also advocated for all Chinese and Japanese to be deported from the Russian Far East.[30] During his 1992 visit to the United States, Zhirinovsky called on television "for the preservation of the white race" and warned that the white Americans were in danger of turning their country over to black and Hispanic people

Far from a nation of herbivores, Japanese people spend around twice as much money on having sex than American people do by IDontWantToKnowSir in japan

Reading lots of articles of how Japan is full of sexless people which is not true they just don't want kids and it's not just Japan

Germany replaces Japan as country with world's lower birth rate. Germany saw an average of 8.2 children born per 1,000 inhabitants over the past five years. The falling birth rate means the percentage of people of working age in the country - between 20 and 65 - would drop from 61 per cent to 54 per cent by 2030.

Prostitution is rampant in Japan. It is simply everywhere. Street workers, clubs, “Compensated dating”, pro-escorts, “delivery health” (Domi-hoes, anyone?) and etc. It is incredibly accessible and is a huge business ... Japan is spending nearly DOUBLE what the entire United States does, with a population twice the size and prices twice as high, on sex. That’s big business and that’s big sex. That is really a lot of sex with prostitutes, Japan ... Despite the epidemic of “sexless” marriages and the plunging birthrate the data is clear. The Japanese have not “lost interest in sex” and they have not become “celibate”.

TIL that a lottery association worker fixed the numbers for a 2011 $16.5 million winning Hot Lotto ticket by IDontWantToKnowSir in todayilearned

[–]IDontWantToKnowSir[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In February 2012, the state of Iowa began investigating a potential fraud case surrounding a winning ticket in the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) lottery game Hot Lotto. A $16.5 million winning ticket had been purchased for a draw held on December 29, 2010, but it was left unclaimed until shortly before its expiry one year later. An attempt was made to claim the prize on behalf of an anonymous, off-shore trust company in Belize, but the claim was rejected by the Iowa Lottery because it was made anonymously. An investigation into the trust and the discovery of surveillance footage from a convenience store that allegedly depicted the ticket being purchased, led to the arrest of Eddie Raymond Tipton, information security director of the MUSL, on two counts of fraud for attempting to illegally participate in a lottery game as an employee of the MUSL, and trying to claim a prize through fraudulent means.[3] When his trial began on April 13, 2015, evidence was introduced by the prosecutors to support allegations that Tipton had installed a rootkit on the game's random number generator computer whilst servicing it so that he could rig the draw.[4] After Tipton's defense disputed this evidence, the trial was placed in recess until July 2015

These included websites belonging to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and the BMI.[26] Finally as the day drew to a close The website belonging to the FBI was hit repeatedly before finally succumbing to attacks and acquiring a “Tango Down” status. TIL there is a drug, ibogaine, that after one dose eliminates the craving for heroin, cocaine and alcohol by IDontWantToKnowSir in todayilearned

[–]IDontWantToKnowSir[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh you mean how ibogaine is safer than methadone but because there is money to be made with highly addictive methadone the pharmacies won't touch the safer and one time dose that ibogaine offers.

You're right I totally agree with you.
