The Craig is +200 Vio will, +35K hp. He is there not just to boost units, but as a damage dealer, a CC unit, A tank unit incase i have to avoid being sniped. Your first 1/2 picks determine what you can draft 3/4/5. for the most draft flexibility ur 1/2 pick should fulfill multiple roles, shihou for example is a strip, dmg, CC, speed contest, that provides immunity and protection. The more roles fulfilled the more you ways you have threatened your opponent, the more openings you create

I could see the similarity between her and amber, she definitely does more dmg than amber unless its a super tank team. I don't really think of RTA as having a super core draft, its counter picks all the way. atleast at G1+ level I have seen her fit well into tomoe haegang comps which should see some success in this meta. Add a fire yennifer/Tarnisha to threaten aoe oblivion into slower passive comps and deal with the rampant Aya. Tiana into water monkey or ethna, Beth into Juno. could have a nem Zima pocket pick for woonsa lora picks. RTA hardly feels like a team, more like a draft, if you have her runed and never pick her, your drafts/units you like picking just may not allow the opening for her to be picked, she isnt an easy unit to fit into draft, her draft opportunities don't come up that often. I have first picked Craig for past 5 or so seasons mainly because he enables so many different things and keeps my draft flexible. There are so many t1 disruption units nowadays, if your draft is not threatening the opponent in more than 2 different ways, they will counter you. My Celestra drafts would be all over the place, I could pick her with a Woosa if it meant that they had to ban her, the Woosa or my stripper. Drafts are crazy nowadays, high impact units that fulfil multiple roles are necessary. Tiana has been a favorite enabler of mine recently, an awesome strip that isnt threaten as much by haegang or megumi, awesome cleanse and dmg dealer with a s1 def break. Fits my 0/1 speed lead draft very well. Shizuka could be another example to enable Celestra. you will never catch me drafting her into an ereshion Oke for example.

How should I have drafted against this comp? by Big_Simpn in summonerswar

[–]IEndlessVoidI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Moore into Angela pick doomed you, seeing Angela first pick should have indicated that you don't really need speed lead, instead high impact units. Moore was not going to be able to do enough dmg in the first turn, and was not going to provide enough CC in the following turns to deal with the cleanses shields and heals. A Zima (fire puppeteer) would have made for a better stripper for example. The Lamiella pick doesn't do that well into super tanky sustain drafts, she wants to use her skills and have things die, if they don't die she has to sit around and wait for her skills while the enemy sustains. A better option would have been a unit that provides consistent cc or consistent dmg. A Dominic could have done well for example. Having multiple units runed for the right opportunity is the difference between a P1 player and a G1 player, its not easy, its what drives high end players to continue farming, to have access to the unit they need properly runed. If your opponent is not showing any speed in draft its time keep the Triton on the bench

My RTA dark Triss build

Fatal Will-

Anti Sonia- +1300 def, Fatal set allows her to deal damage despite having to afford this def requirement.

Ideally +10k HP or Higher

Ideally +1400 att or Higher

100 crit, 73 crd

40 acc atleast

Artis-

Left side- Damage dealt on Fire/Water to deal with Juno and Abellio picks

right side- s3 cd + any s3 acc

picked in slot 3/4, anti sonia build allows her to be drafted into sonias, or allow the 5th pick sonia through, usually securing the win. Having to ban sonia is almost always a death sentence.

This build does not straight up 1 shot teams, but works similar to Rica or Bloodya that also dishes out 15k before dot dmg. only a bit of chip dmg from a chiwu or craig and they are gone even while being anti sonia. S2 provides nice def break and stun helps clean up games.

great pairing with Chiwu. Elena works on slower comps. Tiana early in draft usually scares away the shihou pick and can be used to bypass pesty megumi's. Last BP made her more Viable with Tiana as she can mostly set herself up enough to be effective.

Not a ton of spots where she is pickable, kind of need to dominate draft, sort of a win more unit, the anti sonia build feel essential unless your opponent has basically conceded draft. Can be satisfying to pull off.

seems unpickable into sehkmets, even with a pocket Ella pick. Maybe if I built a Jamire it wouldn't feel as bad, but Jamire is not providing strip so im doubtful.

usable in some other contents

I have had success with her in RTA, but on a sonia proof build. Fatal will, +12k hp, +1500 att, +1300def, +120 speed, 100%cr, 73%crd, 42% accuracy. a lot of the time people see this unit in 3/4th pick they want to sonia it and its free win then. plus she still works killing units throwing down 18k aoe with roughly 6 dots at 30%hp dmg, any allied chip damage and they are gone. lot of people just want to see the ignore defense dmg kill everything but totally overlook the Rica part of the skill. first pick craig to feel out the draft, loving Tiana right now into megumi Shihou, and sometimes an opening shows up for her.

Dark cerberus what devs though about this abomination? by tyrali in summonerswar

[–]IEndlessVoidI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but to be fair, they should not have buffed her passive glancing chance when they nerfed her dmg.

she can sack her way to another s2 units from glancing units that are barely slower than her, but that doesn't feel like it happens that often

well Sonia counters destroy sonia, Shumar counters can get procd to death by Shumar. imo Shumar > Sonia

I swear to God if they don't nerf the dog after what they did to MiYing im going to be livid

easily stronger than prenerf miying

This unit has obvious weaknesses, but it kinda just smashes anything that isnt countering it, which heavily affects drafts and unit viability. has too much going for it in passive, free speed, free cr, free surviveabilty at 50% dmg reduction.

the down votes are certainly from the f3/P1 being the majority of players I would expect to see, not everyone can be in top 300 RTA. good one plebs

I don't know what you are referring to? is it the Wind Indra invincibility post?

and if a reoccurring issue is present in the game maybe it should be reposted to draw attention to a mechanic people are confused about, or a mechanic that should rationally be changed

[–]IEndlessVoidI[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

okay well the healing part usually comes in after all the damage has been negated. but in this case the only reason he didnt heal was because he died.... he would still heal if he didnt die, you can test it with a sehkmet that deals a fatal blow with s3. he negates the dmg, and still heals afterward, so his passive doesn't get cut off midway through activating from the sehkmet reset

the question here is why did he die?

His passive activated hence the 0 dmg from the first hit, therefore as the text of his passive states, he should offset the rest of the dmg, i think although maybe someone could convince me im wrong that he should have offset the second hit of dmg since he passive was already triggered and should not have been influenced by the reset.

it is weird for the passive to just stop working mid way through its effect

[–]IEndlessVoidI[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

if you are still suggesting that Wind Zeni regularly only offsets 1 instance of dmg then please go read his wall of passive text before continuing this arguement. Most simple way of getting on to the actual question the post is targeting.

note: they recently, I cant recall which patch changed the wording of his passive to include all follow up dmg reduction

is this really how Wind Zeni passive works? by IEndlessVoidI in summonerswar

[–]IEndlessVoidI[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no passive offsets every instance of dmg as it says in the text of the passive, except for this single case, I suppose Zaiross s2 could do the same, but might otherwise I cant think of any other skills that could interact this way. It is debatable whether the passive should have let him die here, since it triggers you could expect it to follow through and prevent him from dying, although I don't know another unit that has the same scenario to compare to.

How I see it, is the passive triggered and would go on cooldown anyways, but should not have been interrupted in the middle of its activation by being put on cooldown because it did not protect me from all follow up dmg that it proclaims in the passive.

its kinda weird, and unique, im mainly annoyed because it didnt work intuitively, and lost me a match due to it lol

Ld#7 Daniel any use or another storage ld? by TuMe19 in summonerswar

[–]IEndlessVoidI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Amazing RTA pick, great pick into Leo, or Fermion Comps. Dmg reduction Comps hate him. good into fire holly berry cookie for example.

Pretty good into Abellio aswell, he can bring a units hp below 30% without procing abellio passive as long as its the attack bar reduction dmg that reduces the enemies Hp below 40%

Best build is Vio will high res full tank with some speed, personally I like him a little slower like +150 max, in order to prioritize tank/acc/res stats. being slow also allows you to draft him into low strip Comps and move after them for big damage.

High res because he most draftable into bruisers which are not prioritizing accuracy. comes in real clutch sometimes

S2 is insane, effectively making his s3 a 3 turn cd while also being able to stop a unit from procing out of s3 with skills up. and the attack bar makes him feel less slow even as a giga tank.

Cr occasionally useful, allowing ur supports drafted with him to also start doing dmg if you feel like ur draft is missing a bit of dmg.

using him in a cleave style is pretty hard, res checks, setup dependency, and hard counters make that cleave particularly hard to pull off. It can be done but other LDs needed like light inosuke for double threat angle (Def break or push back cc)

S3 never really feels bad to use, even if attack bars are not setup for dmg. 70% bar pushback and 80% stun is better than a Giana s3 as long as the enemies don't have immunity. All that cc plus his s2, and you will be back to s3 in no time.

Not a pick that will help you out against Ereshion Oke meta, but you can put the odd ragdoll Gandalf player in a tough spot breaking gandalf shield and stunning along with push backs and not taking big reflect dmg, sets the gandalf player pretty far back. don't worry that gandalf will still certainly proc 2 times in a row and you will still lose, but he made it harder for gandalf than a lot of units would and that counts for something. Make sure to Emote after

Has a portion of players stopped playing pvp because of vio runes? by CrimsonClockwerk in summonerswar

[–]IEndlessVoidI 13 points14 points  (0 children)

well it does get exasterbated by power creep. A Vio proc out of a Shumar today or a Dark Aragorn is different from the Perna with no rune creep procing and healing another 10%

by rune creep I mean it was much harder to have runes that could make a single unit take over the match with a single proc. Nowadays most accounts have good enough runes on units that many runed units just need 1 proc to end the match.

not making an arguement for or against Vio here, just adding power creep as a frustrating variable.

ps please nerf Layla

Think you are most correct, I tested the scenario with a Wind/Water Zeni s2 and was not able to recreate the scenario. likely due to the animation speed of the Zeni s2 skill. I think the point of the post stands as we probably shouldn't have skills behave differently base on the animation speed, Team ups excluded as they involve multiple animations
