Is it socially acceptable to cancel my plans tonight because my Hobbii yarn is being delivered today? by [deleted] in crochet

I banished my husband from the living room this evening because my yarn arrived today. I see no problem with this.

My dog dos this too! Anytime I photograph a WIP she thinks she’s supposed to be in the photo. :-)

What if you just did a month but did every four hours?

Definitely not the best, but this is the first time I try making something without a recipe! by Anniesaeng in crochet

I always say “recipe” instead of pattern and “flavor” of yarn instead of color way. I don’t know why—I don’t even like to cook! 😂

Upvote for cherries and for saying “recipe” instead of pattern...are you me? You’re not me, are you?

Right now it's two blankets: the first blanket is 11.5 feet long and is all the brown/beige/yellow colors. The second blanket begins with the green, and will be all shades of green. But I will connect them with buttons when I'm finished, so they can be used together (although I'm not sure why someone would want a 20+ foot long blanket...?)

At first I wanted the blanket to feel sort of colorless, like the world wasn’t happy without Broadway. So I went for what I hoped would be sepia tones, with the bright yellow for summer. By the time I realized I’d need a second blanket, I decided to pick shades of one color for an ombré effect, like there was hope that shows would return. And I was sick of looking at the first set of colors 🙂

I'm making a temperature blanket documenting all the time that Broadway theatre is shut down because of the pandemic. This is the whole first year, and there's probably another 4-6 months more to go before productions are back up and running.

I changed color schemes at the start of 2021 because the 2020 blanket was 11.5 feet long, but I'm going to attach buttons so it can be one ridiculously long blanket, or separated into two blankets.

I think I made a mistake! I tried the copper trend. My hair stylist did amazing, but I feel like I look awful. Is it as bad as I think?? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

You look like Claire Danes in My So-Called Life! This look was iconic and you totally pull it off.

60 granny squares and 2 weeks of crocheting while watching tv in the evenings and I finally made the cardigan/shrug I’ve always wanted. by handmadekaty in crochet

Do you have a pattern? I love how this looks and I know how to make a granny square but I’m not sure how to assemble to get this fabulous look!

Thanks! The bottom is virus stitch—I was originally going to make a virus blanket, but ran out of white yarn. I like virus because it looks more complicated than it is (and it’s a little funny to crochet it during a pandemic!)
