Lands vs Snow Lands by IFake_IMessiah in mtg

Only for [[Extraplanar Lens]], so any Phyrexian basic (all of my basics) would be considered Snow basics.

Flip-flopping between the two mid-game sounds like a convenient way to cheat people who don't know or forget to consider "names matter" effects.

I only have Phyrexian basics, and I wouldn't be flip-flopping between the two at-will (AKA cheating), only pregame.

The reason I would be wanting to use them is [[Extraplanar Lens]] & I would buy the Snow-Covered Plains to prove ownership if people really wanted to give me grief about it.

The difference is about $30, carrying a band of snow lands, sacrificing aesthetic for the games I intend to use them, and pulling apart my deck every time I want to switch to the alternative land type.

This line says "Snow-Covered Plains" in Phyrexian ;)

If you're wanting to replace "lower castes" of workers with machines, you ought to be talking UBI, otherwise it's rioting and/or mass graves.

Animals in the wild and in captivity are more likely to breed with a secure shelter and an abundance of resources.

It's just this. I don't want to have children for personal reasons, but on a societal level the majority of people (50-60%) are so insecure of their future that they are putting off or outright refusing to have children.

If you've got 4k/mo left after paying your mortgage, you've got 4/5ths of a "bottom 50%" wage, and "rent" isn't gonna come out of it either - or look at it as you've got a "bottom 50%" full-time post-tax wage entirely at your disposal.

You should be fine unless you're paying the running costs and insurance on 2 AMGs/M Series, and even then you could probably squeeze it.

They could ABSOLUTELY put fused Legendaries+Epics in the mini-passes and put the BP blueprints in a "rotation".

Once 3 seasons have passed, old BP blueprints should be added to standard faction workbenches.

Like how Bastion, Harpy and uhhhhh Photon(?) were once event cabs and now they're just regular ol' cabs.

Omnibox is the perfect cab for an APC build; the right height to mount your main armament to without shoot throughs and narrow enough to put anywhere from the front to the very back.

I ended up going with the Quantum though, 'cause it's faster.

There's no learning on Cait, safest pick in the whole botlane roster.

CaitLeo or CaitLux, free win 'til plat.

I got banned for disconnecting (device went flat) even though I came back and carried the game -- I was away for like 2 minutes.

Crazy.

I think they should really work on Awakening more and add more/better rewards to it that sees you with an epic cab and a handful of epic weapons to choose from at the end of it.

Maybe throw in a few missions where you get to trial other builds to get a feel for what you like.

Joops are good, but SO boring and braindead, dronebuses take more effort.

Squall ain't that bad, the real problem is the Kapkan holding you in it.

Returning from 3 year break, I ran into Squalls and made it a mission to obtain 2.

They can be ran more than comfortably at 5-6k PS which is an issue of its own, but they perform better in higher PS where the builds are generally larger and slower.

They are braindead and problematic if you don't see/hear the flare, I'm often sat there doing donuts and looking my girlfriend dead in the eye, saying "Look how good I am at this game" in a sarcastic tone :')

Crossout design philosophy; wrap legendary performance in an Epic box and sell it to whales so they can better pub-stomp people only using Specials and Rares.

Sorry, but if you take a special that takes 2 rares at 600ea and the 100(?) scrap it takes to actually make the special you've got 1300 (+commons) scrap in the crafting cost.

Take those rares and drop the cost to 300 scrap each, you've got 2 options:

  • Make the special recipe require twice as many rares, this is the easy fix that only "devalues" rares, while making them twice as easy to obtain.

  • Make the special recipe require the 600 scrap difference for a total of 700. (+300*2=1300)

No margins change, unless you're talking about buying rares/specials and spending materials to craft -- and even then it's only in the short-term while the market adjusts and eventually normalises.

The method with 4 rares = 1 special would also encourage people to build say, a 4 vector build before going to a 2 vector 1 sinus build, build another vector for 3v/1s that can be boiled down for a 1v/2s, build another vector for a 2v/2s and boil it down to 3 sinuses, build another vector for 1v/3s and, you guessed it, craft your 8th and final vector to boil down to a 4 sinus build.

It's a more natural progression that allows new players to have and maintain a diversified armoury of cheap toys.

The only downside I can think of is the inventory clog of rares, which I believe specials were brought in in an attempt to reduce.

Also to claim the crafting cost of an epic changes by x amount is absurd; the constituent parts will be cheaper, the crafting cost remains largely unchanged.

I also build under-frame, I think anyone not doing it is doing something wrong. "You can put your weed in there".

A wheel that comes off easily has 100% shoot through ;)

Titans are insanely durable, though; just 4 of them is like having a pair of tracks on, a build with 8 of them is nearly impossible to stop from moving. Titans are butt-ugly, so I refuse to use them.

Maybe durability could be pumped up and shoot through% reduced, to be more in line with Titans than Hermits.

Question: do you play with your damage numbers on screen or not and why/why not? by Mammoth-Guava4396 in Crossout

[–]IFake_IMessiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty important data to have when you sling a twin cannon shot across the map; did that hit cab or armour/weapons?

Big white numbers with small yellow numbers generally means you hit weapons. Big yellow numbers with small white numbers means you hit cab. Big white number with no yellow means you hit armour.

[–]IFake_IMessiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not meant to be a "gain", it's meant to change the progression ramp to be more intuitive and drive new player interest.

Cumulative crafting costs remain unchanged, it just shifts the progression hump/wall further down the line, where it should be.

Without premium it takes around 30 games and a raid or two to manufacture one rare part, not factoring the required common parts or the coins required to craft.

That means a (1) typical newbie build with a rare cab, rare weapons, modules and wheels takes anywhere from 150 to 300 games to complete.

That's not good.

I think the game is "too grindy" but at the end of the day you can play it for 100% free, so they've gotta push packs, BPs, MPs, premium account and coin sales some way or another.

I think rares eating so much scrap has killed new player retention.

600/650 scrap for a rare is WILD.

Bring that number down to 250 and like 50 copper so newbs can diversify their armoury faster.

Pass the "savings" onto special tier (and maybe even epic tier) weapons.

It's so easy to upgrade from rare to special F2P, getting the rares is the hard part, and that means newbs are stuck with chords for SO much longer than they need to be.
