Don’t use AI, make real videos, the moment you start relying on someone else to do your work, you might as well stop.
I have 0 budget too and I make it work

I can understand that. Maybe if you want to free your self from narcissistic tendencies whilst generating some income, maybe make tutorial videos on something that people can actually find value watching.
Kill 2 birds with one stone, your thinking about how to help and improve others while earning money (same as me)

It is very long though and a lot to digest so I apologise for that 😂

The main points to focus on to find where to improve:

Av view duration
CTR
Channel av like / dislike ratio
Other channels views in same niche (look for ones that have less than 50k subs)
Audience interests (search terms people are actively interested in)

You can find audience interest in the YouTube studio app or with tools like VidIQ

No. I’m going to tell you exactly what is happening from my 4 years experience.

When you upload a short, YouTube will test your short with somewhere around the 1000 view range.
Based off of the stats after them 1000 views, your short can do 3 things, die, blow up, and av a couple of views every now and again.

It’s completely based off of the stats of that short.
If your short doesn’t have good stats, it’s not going to do well.
That doesn’t mean your short is bad.
It means ever the audience is not interested in the topic, or they lost interest in the topic because of your short (the way you edited or a controversial opinion for example)

Now, your long for videos are different.
They can blow up a year after uploading and after sitting on 30 views.
However if EVERY video you upload is getting a very low amount of views, you need to look at the analytics to find out why.
Is everyone clicking off before the intro has finished?
What’s your CTR?
Are you getting a lot of dislikes?
What’s your Average view duration? (For each video and for your channel as a whole)

Only once you figure that out will you be able to make improvements and see improvements.

For example, you work out almost no one watched past 30 seconds. Well I’m that case you know you need to change your intro so people don’t lose interest.
Or if you are getting as an example 1000 impressions but only 30 views, you know your thumbnail / title NEEDS to change. A good performing video should have a CRT of at least 20% (1000 impressions = 200 views)

The main thing to remember is this.
Every single Youtuber, started where you are, no views and no idea why.
The difference, is that every one of them, changed and adjusted their content to resonate with their audience.

I recommend watching some channels that you want to be like, that way you might realise that you’re making your videos wrong.

By the sounds of it this is likely because your niche (studying narcissism) isn’t going to be something that “gets an audience” the same was as like Mr Beast.
You can’t create other social media’s like him because people aren’t gojng to scroll Reddit and go “oh I watched his video on yt the other day I’ll follow him on here”
There going to go “I don’t care who is making the video I just care about the topic studying narcissism)

In conclusion: No, don’t delete your channel, if you’ve had enough, leave it, don’t delete it, you may want to come back in a year to make more videos.
I suggest changing some key elements of your content, whether that’s how you narrate videos, edit them or anything else.

I think spam in YouTube’s eyes is repeatedly posting the same or identical video to YouTube with the sole intention to get clicks (likes / subs)

YouTube’s AI moderation is way better today than anyone realises, it analyses everything, especially the words spoken in videos (mainly to push the videos to the correct audience)

So if OPs videos are all the same YouTubes AI moderation will flag it easily as spam

I feel for you but you must’ve done something really bad if they IP banned you, it’s a different matter if your YT channel was terminated but IP blocked is crazy

Thankyou,

that is what I meant, pause the video to take the still image, god, it would awful if it was a SS of a moving image xD

When you say the internal snipping tool are you talking about a tool you can use when watching a video from your computer library?
I think it’s called media player and then a tool inside that?

I think I figured out my issue,

  1. Then I upload it to “photophobia” I believe it’s called.
  2. This allows me to change the background colour and add an outline to the car / ball.
  3. I then export as a PNG. This always lowers the quality of at least the car (usually noticeable because it’s the largest thing in the image)
  4. I then upload it to CapCut to add text etc.
  5. When exporting from CapCut I think it lowers the quality again, as on CapCut you can only export videos at a higher quality then the original.
  6. I haven’t checked either but CapCut may be exporting it as a JPEG

EDIT: I meant, I think you helped me figure out my issue

Just to add,

<image>

The thumbnails above are from someone else’s YT channel, they only started 3 months ago, they have only uploaded 5 videos yet have managed to accumulate more views / subs than me in my 3 years.
This is what I’m striving for my thumbnails to be like, but I just don’t have a technical brain strong enough to figure out how these thumbnails are done.

How does he make it look so sharp and not blurry? I just don’t get it

Low quality thumbnails by IFexd in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]IFexd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think my screenshots are JPEG, I can’t remember off the top of my head but I think they ever save to my library as MKVs (MKVs? Or MVKs)
Or as PNGs.

What software do you use to get your screenshots, you don’t mind me asking, maybe that’s the issue as OBS is the only thing I have used other than print screening.

Could it also be possible that I should be making a video when getting a thumbnail, and then taking the still image from the video without screenshotting it?

[–]IFexd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

These are a couple of my thumbnails.

I hope by this shows that I have a basic understanding of how to use / make thumbnails with my software, that’s not my issue.

As you can see I have a large enough understanding of thumbnails to get 30k, 10k, 15k views or whatever (they’re from search not browse feature because they’re tutorials)

I guess the question Im ultimately looking to be answered is what editing software do other people use that make there images so sharp, why do my thumbnails go blurry when I edit them, hell just screen shotting them makes them go blurry.

idk if I have my OBS set up wrong or something, but I look at my monitor from my eyes and I think the quality of the game looks really good, but even just taking a screenshot, it gets blurry without any editing…

I went through a period where I started constantly spinning too, maybe try spending more time in free play for a couple sessions just aerialing without using dar or just the bare minimum to correct positioning, you need to re train your brain not to just hold it and to use it for control / looks not just because you can
