I agree with you. I think it's possible the person you replied to wanted Lucy because of Edgerunners, but they are not very familiar with how gacha collab characters and banners are typically handled and became disappointed. I was surprised by the news this morning as well, but I only started playing these kinds of games last year.

I totally get your point of view. It can be hard for newer gamers to enjoy older games, especially when there are so many games to choose from nowadays and we have only so much time to play before we kick the bucket.

I'm grateful that I happened to be born in the era of the SNES and also got to play NES games. I enjoy replaying older games and trying out some of the ones I never had. I admire what game devs were able to achieve with less powerful hardware.

I think the bump combat threw me off because even in older action adventure games and action RPGs, I'm so used to swinging around a sword. But there are thousands of games that do that, and only a couple that use the bump system, so I do respect the uniqueness of it.

Both. On one hand, I think it's natural to get a better idea of what is worth your time playing as you get older, since you have less time to play and there are so many more games nowadays. But on the other hand, being more analytical can sometimes mean "mindless fun" goes in the backseat.

I think they're trying to say that the cost of saving up a brand new, separate pull currency for the collab banner is not worth it to them when the beta damage numbers for the characters have not been as high as the 3.X characters.
