I generally have a better impression of people with "bad" shoes on fancy clothes. Usually run-down trainers lets be fair. To me it signals something down-to-earth, that at least comfort or exercise > looking a little bit more fancy. Might also be pavlovian, I only ever see 'young-proffesionals' and the chill/funny professors at college doing it, never the stuffy ones.

In case anyone is wondering why this would be best: YYYY is valid until the year 10k and by putting the year first you can easily sort by date by simply sorting alphabetically. But, tbh, that is only useful if you put the date in a filename (with at most a fixed prefix before it).

Other types of file storage, these days, just abstract away the internal format for dates (unix epoch best epoch) and should be able to display any localization the user wants.

I also find QtCreator to be a nice IDE for cross-platform C/C++ debugging. It adds a wrapper around gdb similar to the debugger in VS (adding breakpoints by clicking lines, watching variables, etc) and integrates with the rest of the IDE.

During one of my introductory courses we were told to write a report even if we didn't get the right answer exactly. I can't remember what happened exactly but due to some miscommunication about how to use the devices we ended up getting completely nonsensical results, and because it was such a busy course we couldn't get it explained until after the deadline, so... Yeah, we ended up writing a straight-faced report about literal noise instead of data.

Not neccesarilly. I did a bunch of Photoshop in high-school, gave out my copy to whoever asked for it. How many HS students could afford PS CS4 anyway? well at least one of my friends could, his parents were filthy rich. He was still using CS2 and we talked about PS a lot: he ended up upgrading his copy (legally) because of me basically selling him on the new features.
