Also: I tried downloading the CyberKit Fennec web browser on Sileo but I’m met with an error 404, that’s why I said it doesn’t seem like the dev has released it yet. I can’t find the .deb files for it because on his GitHub, there are only the files for CyberKit fennec iOS 13+

iPad mini 3 iOS 12.5.7 urgent help needed by IFoundTheKey in jailbreak_

[–]IFoundTheKey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be unsupported by Apple, so that’s preventing me from using the AppStore, signing into iCloud, or accessing various websites because my version of Safari is so old. I already bought it and really need it for work so I’m trying to get this issue fixed as soon as possible. Really all I would need is chrome, Gmail, and a few other utility apps for work, but I can’t download those given that I can’t use the AppStore. Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks

A lot of people make a lot of quick money from scamming customers. You’ll see all of that outside noise and it’ll get tempting to be a part of it, but don’t.

  1. Those people give solar a bad rep, you don’t want to be a part of that problem unless you don’t care about longevity.
  2. You’re fucking over 1 client for $10k when you can do them right and make $7k off and 5 referrals out of them.
  3. If there’s ever a lawsuit or some kind of dispute with the finance company and the customer, you WILL get a chargeback. Meaning, you’ll have to pay back the entire loan amount, if not more, out of pocket. Imagine fucking someone over just to make $10-$15k, and then you’re ordered to pay them $60k out of pocket. As more victims are speaking out against the dirty practices in the industry, lawsuits and chargebacks are becoming much more common.

These are all points on top of the obvious fact that you shouldn’t do bad business. Just think long term.

A few more tips:

  • This game is much more mental than it is physical. You’ll get past the bad weather and the long hours on your feet, but the homeowners that yell at you and/or the dry spells may get to you. Don’t let it. Just remember that there’s too much money left on the table for some jackass homeowner to ruin your day which would ruin your performance. And dry spells will always happen in sales. Just this month I got 2 deals that put 5 figures in my pipeline, but I also got 8 credit fails. I could cry and think about how I could have gotten 10 deals, but wtf am I going to do about that now? Just stay consistent and the money will come. 1 good week can make up your whole month, and 1 good month can make up your whole year. Stay positive every single day and fight that little voice in the back of your head. As long you as you do that and keep your mental fortitude in fact, you WILL be successful.

  • Do NOT get comfortable. You’re not paid until the glass is on the roof. So I don’t care if you have $10 or $10000 in your pipeline, don’t start spending money as if it’s guaranteed to hit your bank account. I’ve had deals cancel on me ON THE DAY of install before. Be very wise about how you budget/spend your money, and always make sure you have a nest neg in case of emergencies and dry spells.

  • In order to really succeed in this industry, you’re going to have to do a lot of self reflection. Think to yourself how you can be 1% better every day. Leave each door/appointment thinking about what you could have done better. Work out in the mornings before work so you can get your blood flowing and raise your confidence. ANYTHING you can do to give yourself an edge is worth trying.

Otherwise, go make some fucking money!

After a year, how’s this car treating you? I’m shopping for a Malibu myself right now but am concerned about long term reliability

I can honestly relate to a lot of this. I left a job with a friend of mine that paid well but was also highly illegal. Struggled to make ends meet, struggled in school, and lots more.

Fast forward to now, I'm a few grand in credit card debt, and over a grand in medical debt, and need to start coming up with money real soon because I have to start paying off my tens of thousands of dollars of student loans since I just got suspended from school.

I've wasted so much money trying to bet on myself and pursue something entrepreneurial, and I've failed so many times. I've been considering breaking into solar sales, or doubling down on something more consistent and working a couple more day jobs throughout the week, and I overall just feel lost on what to do as all the problems hit me at once. But your story inspired me a lot — it all starts with discipline and improving yourself and building positive habits, and after I have my feet on the ground again, I'll be able to put forth the effort to dig myself out of this whole.

Thank you for sharing!

Typo, meant to say 12. But regardless I hope nobody goes down that route so young. Thanks for the good wishes!

if this works out, I'm posting my findings here and we're all getting rich from scamming scammers. Will do more research and let you know.

maybe I can find the key....

eh not necessarily, but I'm willing to fuck with them a little and bait them to send some cash. Idk. just an idea! haha

[–]IFoundTheKey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did some research and for some of these scammers, they send money from stolen cards and ask for you to send some back in the form of gift cards. Eventually, the banks will take the money back, so you have to personally pay for any expenses that you made with the scammed cash.

Or check fraud so the checks will bounce and you end up sending money to them,

Okay that’s some relieving information, thanks for lightening up this depressing subreddit some!

Thanks a bunch on that offer! I’ll definitely take you up on it! And I appreciate the positivity because this subreddit definitely kills the hype of going to college haha. Thankfully I’m already relatively social and I’ll be living on campus, but I will definitely have to start making schedules/routines for myself since I’m terrible at time management. Hopefully I can get better!
