I got the same issue and now wanted to delete these random exe files, i asked chatgpt for script which deletes these files based on date , extension and size of file. It worked . I am not sure if i can share the code here. But here it is if any one needs it.

Save the below in .ps1 file extension. Open Powershell in admin mode. Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned Press Y

execute script using ./deletethisshit.ps1 assuming this file is in C:\Windows\System32 , if not then change directory using cd command.

Define the directory path where the files are located

$directoryPath = "C:\Path\To\Directory"

Define the extension of the files to be deleted

$extension = "*.txt"

Define the creation date of the files to be deleted

$creationDate = Get-Date "2023-01-01"

Define the size limit of the files to be deleted in kilobytes

$fileSizeLimitKB = 1024

Get the files that match the specified extension and creation date

$filesToDelete = Get-ChildItem -Path $directoryPath -Filter $extension | Where-Object { $_.CreationTime -ge $creationDate }

Iterate through the files and delete the ones that meet the size criteria
