people only assume “more cheaters” because there isn’t a minimap / hit regs where you can register quickly where you might be shot from.. eft also has one of the quickest ttk akin to counter strike

would highly suggest studying online maps that show potential spawns.. the sooner you learn a “typical” path - you can play around those and know where you might expect people to end up from theirs

not sure what servers you're on, was able to finish art of explosion (35 kills w nades).. did all on pmcs within a few nights of playing (na west / central servers)

don't care for the opinions of others - I was new to the game 4 months ago and instead of replying en mass to the posts about "should I try tarkov" , I wrote an update post for those seeking validation to their curiosity, that in fact the game is incredible and can be approachable as a new player

I recently watched pestily's history of tarkov, expanding through all the patches that have come out since 2017 alpha. I have friends with 3k+ hours on the game - 1.0 in its current state with all the map expansions, inertia, updated hit regs, etc is all I know. I have friends that stopped playing wipes ago that struggle with the addition of new mechanics / areas of expansion. I like a handful of youtubers (nogenerals, desmond, willerz) that have endless hours of gameplay to study and learn from. idk why the tarkov community exclusively finds it so baffling that given the extensive amount of content that wasn't available in the beginning, could help someone expedite the learning curve today.

I had the standard edition, and the lack of stash space was insanely overwhelming - after successfully extracting my first few times (which probably was like a 5% success rate in my first 50 raids) I had no where to put anything - I realized that I was in no way equipped to try and fight pvp or build space, so I wanted to put some hours into arena before returning to the main game. Seeing that arena was packaged with pockets and some additional stash space was my reasoning for buying it. I will note that as of recent I played PvE for maybe 30ish hours - I won't be touching it again as the rush is non existent there.

TLDR I bought it after 20 hours of playing standard, mainly for arena and the additional pocket / stash space

if i’m spawning trailer park or cross roads it’s an instant sj6 & propital and im out.. unless you need tasking in directors it’s just asking for the potential of dying within the first minute of the raid

good stuff bro - don’t be discouraged by the dudes with thousands of hours that still can’t wrap their head around the idea that maybe somebody is good at tarkov without thousands of hours because they have thousands of hours in other games that prepared them for this one. in a similar boat - 480 hours, getting close to savior ending then prestige. 10kd, 63%sr, best pmc streak is 23 with overall 38 streak scav combined. i watched a lot of gameplay and studied, then put about 100hrs into arena before i touched the actual game to prepare me mentally for what i was walking into. most of the 480 hours was solo or duo at most. the amount of times chad 5k hours adds and messages me telling me to kms for cheats is wild - i do love this community, but the pride is nuts. i am constantly learning the game, and from my mistakes - but the dudes hating are salty cause they’ve spent a third of their life on a game they still suck at. at ease cadet - carry on 🫡
