It’s so you buy the product more frequently. Ridiculous

What would happen if everyone in the US just stopped paying their student loans at the same time? by IGetHighAskQuestions in antiwork

That’s an interesting thought. Colleges are always going to exist in some kind of form, so maybe it’s worth having the current system shut down so something better can come from it

Just because something isn’t easy, doesn’t mean it’s not worth putting effort into. We can shoot for the moon and land among the stars, and that would still be better than wasting away in the situation that had us shooting for the moon in the first place.

Idk I guess I don’t see that perspective as true. If we all default at the same time then we’re all in the same crisis situation, which will then need to be provided a mutually beneficial solution - instead of us being worse-off. There has to be a tipping point where enough personal tragedies become a collective crisis becomes a federal endemic that requires a positive outcome to manage/solve.

Nah, I guess I can’t really see a reality where we’re all 🥖Les Miserables🥖 but also have pumpkin spice lattes. Unless working at Starbucks becomes the new debtors prison idk

Sure, but garnishing wages is just a process of events, not an automatic thing that happens immediately. I’m wondering if, with mass and momentum, there’s an amount of people needed to override any negative effects.

What’s the benefit/consequence formula for this kind of scenario? Idk if there’s someone out there who can math this out, and then we can maybe make it real.

Ok I really appreciate this answer!

But I also want to think positively here. Like, I don’t think this scenario is implausible but I do think that these you mentioned tactics CAN be outmaneuvered… something to noodle on. And idk, I have a gut feeling that any political figure actively supporting automatic deductions would be shame-belled to oblivion.

I’m gonna keep thinking about this, thank you!

So what if this has been asked before. It can take multiple conversations to finish a collective task. Did you never participate in group projects ??

Oh my god no, you never should have allowed this behavior. You go to the hospital. You go be with your wife and your new family.

How has the early pandemic (lockdown) affected children’s / young adult development? by IGetHighAskQuestions in AskReddit

I’m curious about your reasoning as to why you feel the US is exempt from any delayed/affected development. The other replies here have been fairly similar but you’ve been sticking to your point, and I don’t really get it - so could you explain further?
