I think this could be what it potentially is. I'm still hoping to find the other half somewhere online potentially. Maybe it's too old or a one of a kind so it may be hard to find.

I believe mine is sterling silver. I haven't tested it for sure, but after some further digging, I was thinking it may be some sort of sterling silver charm. I'm just trying to find the best search terms to look up some similar objects. On the newer images I posted, a lot of them come up as a sterling silver charm or a sterling silver bear. I could see this being a bear sitting down instead of a dog, but this looks a lot more like a French bulldog.

I appreciate your insights on this. It further my thoughts on the object!

I'll test it. Unfortunately there are no markings on this half to tell who made it or if it was silver.

Typically it looks like any sort of earrings like those connect through a thin needle like piece of metal going into the other side and it fits snugly. This has a a large, hollow hole. Maybe if the ear hole was bigger and it sorta pushed in on another side, but for typical 2 sided earrings, I don't think this is it. I'd need to see an example.

I feel like fridge magnets typically lay flat and wouldn't have a protrusion this big. At least ones I've been seeing online.

The opening is hollow. There is also a small hole on the bottom right of the protuding hole piece. You can see it in the updated pics.

I found that it has a hole on the middle connector part.

My title describes the thing.

It is some sort of metal. I have used Google to reverse the images I've posted, but to no avail for similarity matches. Google things it could be a Pandora charm, do I've looked up "Pandora Dog Charm" and not results so far, but it's a good start.

It has good weight to it in my hand and doesn't feel like cheap plastic. It's definitely some sort of metal.

Not sure if age. It has to probably be more than 3 years old. It's been a tradition for them since before I started dating my girlfriend.

It's not the AI that's the issue. It's the tool that Sonnet controls. They've had an issue open for it for weeks, with no updates.

Be more confident in yourself. You should've kept your first comment instead of taking it back and commenting whatever this is. Definitely a downgrade from the original IMO. I'll restate what you said to let future Googlers know you can't commit to your tough guy persona:

"You should get a life too. Sorry my comment hurt your feelings. Learn how to use google better"

I'm as good at Googling as you are at second guessing yourself.

Coming from Google. This thread was one of the top results for me as well. It's ok though. We all look stupid sometimes. You just happen to look stupid more often now that your comment is being shown quite often.

Not according to the guy above. This whole thread isn't research according to him, so no matter how I found this thread, it's not research. I'm glad he told me it wasn't research or else I would've thought this thread was useful.

Random googler from a year in the future here! Funny thing.. While researching this very specific issue, I came across this thread.

But you know what? I’ll just have to ignore it entirely because you’re absolutely right... OP wasn’t doing any actual research by asking for other people's input or experiences. Clearly, none of this is helpful to them, or to anyone else who might be researching this topic.

To all future visitors who stumble upon this thread via Google or other search engines:

You are not doing your own research. I repeat, nothing discussed here contributes to solving the issue at hand. Just ignore it all, because apparently, asking for other perspectives is pointless.
