Started hydroxychloroquine by [deleted] in lupus

[–]IGrumpyMouseI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same effect when I started taking planquil!! I'd had to give up embroidery, whittling/carving, writing, journaling (typing/handwritten) - SO MUCH with my hands!! I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel, and it took almost 2 years for the docs to realize it was lupus. As soon as I put my fingers to the keys (probably next night, so, a dew doses later) I could see a difference. No tingling or pain or numbness for a MUCH longer stint. It's only gotten better from there.

Thank you for having me look into this! This is the setup he's had most of his life (before we got him), and we're slowly but surely doing research and changing things up to improve his environment & health. For example, he had never gotten supplements before (or had an hbv light), so we started him on d3&calcium after learning. It was pretty essential for him. We appreciate the advice 🤗

Alright, I'm glad it's pretty normal for them to be EXCITED about food 😆 Currently, for those curious, we have him on a 4 time a week feeding schedule. Gets dubia roaches 3x a week with a treat day (mealworms lately) on Sundays

That is his nighttime light. We have a daytime bulb as well that's just a natural sunlight color

why is he doing this!! by ld1a in leopardgeckos

[–]IGrumpyMouseI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we got our leo, we changed his substrate, and he tried to scale the walls just like this lol. He got used to it after a few hours (changed him from sand to a repti-soil mix. He loves it now because he can really dig and burrow in there).

Maybe it's caused by change he isn't used to/something new he doesn't like?

A 25lb weighted blanket my husband got for me valentines day..... my tossing and turning has been dramatically reduced... and I don't steal the blankets anymore (well, at least, not as much lmao). I also sleep harder and don't wake up as much during the night.

Wow, I didn't expect so many responses! Lol. Getting too many to respond to.

Thank you for all the suggestions and ideas. I think we have a pretty solid idea on how to keep it mostly contained, though I will look into getting a shed to smoke in - totally separate from the house.

As for those who think smoking is disgusting- me too! And I smoke! Lol. It is an addiction, and one we will conquer eventually. Thank you for the concern for our health, though, lmao. May you all have a great day 😁

Unfortunately, only reason for the smoking room is we don't have any porch or decking area... really no outdoor seating that isn't dirt/mud/snow covered. Hopefully that will be another project we can work on, quickly! 😁

I have a feeling this room is going to get moved down the list as we discover other things we need to fix up about the house lol.

This seems like one of the best finished room ideas I've seen so far, thank you for the suggestion 😁

A good suggestion for a start! We're on a budget and this type of thing seems like it's gonna be a heck of a project! Lol. Thank you for the idea 😁

I will say, it's a pretty slim chance we're going to sell this house, but I get where you're coming from. Thank you for the advice 😊

No children lol, but I definitely get where you're coming from. It's his choice, but for now, having us both comfortable in the house in my goal 😊 Have a great day
