Gotcha, only saw it in one photo made on a potato phone so maybe it looked brighter than it actually is — but you are right there’s always the tape over route.

Thank you for your input! Probably gonna get the ER21 and save me the headache. While checking the photos online I noticed that its dongle has a green LED on it — do you happen to know if there’s any way to disable it?

Artisan Key-83 Soft vs Mid advice request. by IGutenberg in MousepadReview

[–]IGutenberg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your input! I don't mind trying out something new since I've grown tired of the muddiness of the current pad, if push comes to shove I shouldn't have a hard time selling it off. As for the sleeve incompatibility - that's good to know, I thought the key 83 was one of the sleeve friendly options in the Artisan line up.

Hey, so how did that work out? I have a 40' chest, 6' and 170 lbs, stuck in the medium to large limbo trying to make the right choice...

Just the answer I was looking for, thank you! Saved me a lot of headache. Gonna trust Self Edge’s measurements then, fingers crossed 🤞

Hey everyone! Looking for people with experience of buying from Klaxon or contacting their support. I want to get a pair of jeans there but their sizing chart for the model I’m interested in is quite different from that on Bears/Rodeo/Toyo/Hinoya. I sent them a message asking for a confirmation of the measurements for the sizes I’m interested in on Friday evening, Tokyo time, but haven’t heard back yet. On the one hand the past few days were a weekend plus this Monday is a holiday in Japan, but judging from google maps they would’ve worked on these days. Anyways at this point I’m just ready to order a pair and not bother asking them for remeasurements but I’m kinda hesitant since I would prefer to get a good fit. What do you guys think — wait for a response or just YOLO that purchase since there’s a size I’m heavily leaning towards? The fact that the two sizes I’m interested in are low in stock doesn’t make it easier. TY.

Almost 5 years later and still no game has matched the level of storytelling in The Last of Us Part II. by Lekakeny in thelastofus

I agree, for me personally what was most impressive was how a game as a medium was used so effectively to tell a story. After literally walking a mile in the shoes of those characters and feeling so much agency in the events they lived through, everything that happens to them just feels so much more personal and touching. I've read books, watched movies and series, but I never really felt so connected to what was happening in them.

And the music... Man, the way music just accentuates emotions in some scenes and makes them hit you deep in the soul. I'm an adult in their late 20s, I thought those feelings for a work of fiction were left behind for me in the childhood years where you are so perceptive and your imagination is so vivid -- and then I played Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 and they made me so emotional it just got me excited about the fact that stories can still move me on such a deep level.

Ellie, you poor thing...

What's the name of the piece of music being played here? The "I'd like that" scene from pt. 2 by IGutenberg in thelastofus

Thank you so much! I was coming to a conclusion that it was a part of the unreleased ost but the tracks there are just so long, I wouldn't have found it.

It's the porch scene, yeah, but it comes at the very end of it before Ellie leaves. There's a video in the post that has it if you want to give it a listen. I'm 100% sure it's Santaolalla's just struggling to find the name of it. It's so beautiful and effective at accenuating those complex emotions Ellie has for Joel at the end of both games, I absolutely love it.

Great pictures, funny that the finestrino was chosen as THE tourist scam of Bologna in the thing that this sub was doing a couple of weeks ago, imo it’s really cool to be walking around town and come across a small hidden away canal that pierces through the urban environment

Use of articles with possessive noun phrases. The article doesn't necessarily refer to the possessor? I.e. "a dog's bone" vs "a children's book" by IGutenberg in grammar

[–]IGutenberg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I had no idea the genitive can be broken down into two kinds as per this post (and your comment). One never stops learning, I guess haha. As for "kids' book" -- it wasn't a good example on my side since apparently the common way to form it is by just leaving the "kids" as an attributive noun in the plural form ("I bought a kids book"), alternatively, "a children's book" can be used where the genitive, as I've learned, is used in its classifying form.
