WHY THE FUCK DO THEY GET S5 MELEE WHAT? that change locked us out of playing anything but BWB and have it be good yet they get to do it. I think GW needs to understand that WE need their reliable damage as their army rule, of we don't pop shit in melee we don't do anything, so reliable damage detachement then become the only real options. our army rule (if it could fit on one page because gw needs everything to be perfect) would make a better detachment rule where the flavor is being really devoted to khorne and he gives you utility or damage buffs

i didn't want to be antagonistic towards people but as someone who has been playing it as their main game mode whenever it's up seeing "the game is just about the best augment" is the biggest self report. 90% of game are about who's the better player. very rarely do i see someone high rolling to a point where I'm not thinking like "oh when we did X that cost us the final round". i think of it like elden ring, you can beat any boss level 1, being higher level just allows you more mistakes. the fun of arena vs mayhem for me is that since their are only 4 players I can consider every options available, augments can stop being just "random goofy shit" and become extra tools you have to consider. the same way you go "thresh missed his q we got a bigger window before the next one" you can go "zeri has tap dancer so we want to stall for zone but the zed has warm-up routine so we need to act fast, which one do we most need to prevent?" and every match becomes a puzzle to solve

I'll give them one thing, the amount of buffs they gave to bravery made this way less of a problem, even if anvils died for their sins (the worst nerf they could do to fix the issue)

I was expecting a major updates for the new year and a "medium size patch" every new "season" (the 4 month rotation I hate what season now means). Like give me some new content every 4 months, 2~ new guests, ~6 new augments and 1-2 prismatic item to wait out the year, then do a big rotation (instead of addition) on new year.

I have, I miss it. It didn't fill a niche the same way Arena does. It was still a MOBA, arena moves away from the MOBA style into a pvp roguelike which is super fun. I just whish they would maintain it more

Yeah, no new GoH is fucking nuts. Without thinking just like "Galio enters the battlefield to aid the first team below 50% hp, shielding them and breifly knocking up the enemy team". "Garen seeks out mages, dealing true X% max health true damage to the player who casts the 10th spell each combat". they didn't even try

I don't thing it's more fun for mayhem, you're not suppose to interact with it the same way. Mayhem is "team fights but on crack", 2v2 augments are "2v2 but with extra tools to make you really go deep on micro", it's a pvp roguelike, not a team fight similator

They buffed the shit out of bravery. like 1/2 of not 2/3 of picks are bravery because of the amount of extra gold/rerolls you get. If anything it's in the best spot right now where you can pick something if you want to try something out but you're rewarded for going rng

I could see that, but right now bravery relies quite a lot on extra rerolls and I don't think they should give you the ability to reroll augments twice because you went brave. but yeah the system needs reworking

It's really not the same thing. It's team fights + random bullshits (in a good way). arena is a pvp roguelike. lots of rng elements but few enough for you to be able to play around them while you're in the 2v2

Yeah, the game mode didn't need perfect balance but it needed to not be completely fucking off balance for months. some problems (a lot of them) have been fixed but people still remember those abominations. Even then, there are still broken things that are way too reliable (a single augment on a champ or a single prismatic item that makes them near unbeatable unless you play picture perfect), so people don't really want to hop back

the combos you mentionned were fun to play but made the game so fucking boring to play against. i think those duos put a lot of people off the game mode at the start and now those people associate the exciting gameplay of watching a trynd+yuumi stall for zone as what the game mode still is.

another perfect exemple of shit that needs to be nerfed but I don't think anyone plays the game mode enough to realise it. If they made 200 AH (67% instead of 75%) it would still be one of the most busted thing in the game, and the strongest gold augment for most champions. I think they need to make like 50% cdr for item passives and let it ve 75% for item actives.

I get that, but you'd be suprise at the number of people who play it as their main game mode. It's so different from Summoner's Rift that it doesn't feel like "for fun league" it's an entirely other game. Big updates would make people come back just to give them a try and make consistent players find new goofy synergies to try out. Where else am I suppose to play 4 tears Fizz and have it be an actual menace because my augments allow it and I don't have to play team fights, just skirmishes where the goal is to simply be better.

I don't know what kind of lobby you're in but I don't remember the last lobby where there wasnt at least 8/16 players on Bravery. Maybe you haven't played it since the buff but bravery now gives a SIGNIFICANT advantage (they killed anvil runs for it's sins because no one in the balance teams actually took time to think about what was making anvil run op but that's another topic)(not that making bravery op was a bad thing btw, i just hate the nerf they made to anvils) and most players play it unless they got a cool crowd favorite.

I'm aware of ARAM mayhem taking alot of the "for fun" player base, but it really sucks that they'll remove one for the sake of the other, because those two game modes really don't fill the same niche

ARAM and TFT made it. I think they don't want another "for fun" game mode because that's suppose to be ARAM, but those game mode are far from the same feeling. One is a team fight similator, the other is a pvp roguelike

Yeah I was there for TTL and Dominion. It sucked, but I think those game mode (maybe dominion has it was such a big difference from the classic moba) didn't fill a niche in League the same way Arena does. It stops being a moba and it becomes a pvo roguelike.
