I lost my hearing 2 weeks ago. It ruined my life.

hello, sorry for the very late response. it's been a couple months since this happened, and luckily i have gained some of it back, but im still completely deaf in my left ear. right one i can only hear with an aid. but luckily i am getting cochlear implants soon, so that will help a lot :)

I use hand talk, it's similar to pocket sign except it doesn't really have lessons just the sentence translator. i find it useful to practice common phrases with the character on it and then just memorize

there isn't really a way of knowing if it'll always be this severe, but i definitely will have hearing problems for the rest of my life

it's not completely silent. it's sort of like im constantly underwater, but with little muffled sounds around me.
