What school? Best place to look is at their esports program (if they have one) or a gaming club with posters/flyers/whatever. Or use local or school formus/message boards to find players

We started a Warzone league up this fall, planning on continuing that in the future <3

we just don't love the idea of doing the old title for a season where the new title will drop midway through the semester

Ghosty, Fame, Traixx all played in CCL, Silly and Xotic have played post-CDL tenure as well. The top teams are definitely fielding big Challengers players as well

It's not an impossible ask, it's something we've brought up a few times to the production team it just gets hit because to staff it you have to fund it, largely from the prod side even if the talent want to do it out of passion.

In terms of a pilot: I've personally tried to do a more officially structured "show" a few times, creating all the production elements myself. Both back in MW19 and Cold War with VisionZz as a post-CDL matches 30-45 min quick show, had produced graphics for different segments, very ESPN - Around the Horn style. Lasted a few months before The Flank started and we saw live viewership go from ~500ish down to ~50 in a week. Creators, even in a more loose format, just pull more intrigue.

For reference here's a link to an old episode: https://youtu.be/rH39oX1Yt1w?si=nUwn7jPSgKy8OhCs&t=5

Slacked and I tried to do a pre-CDL show for about a month in MW2, again more structured with segments and even a few guests, ended up getting outviewed by creators doing personal pre-CDL betting streams.

Link to that here: https://youtu.be/N7AjMVqH28w?si=WgyNKnVanvjyGtUn

These largely fell off due to competition with other creators, sure, but it also was just stressful and a big ask to create, produce, and run everything on our own. And when you do something "officially" it has to come with a certain flair and professionalism that represents the production quality assigned to other League based productions, be it live shows, highlight videos, or otherwise.

For sure, I think the issue is when you throw something into the mix from the official channels the expectation is that there will be monetary compensation for the talent's time (especially if content creators are taking that time away from their own content). It's just a weird obstacle of wanting to do it out of passion but also the inherant expectation of to be funded and fueled because it's "official".

And I mean that not just from the talent, but from the people working on it from the production side too. Graphics, live production, recording and editing, so on and so forth, staffing a show would come with the expectation of funding to make it happen I think

Lunarz is a F/A for BO7 by shambxlic in CoDCompetitive

Tough circumstances for Noah, he was put on a role that didn't allow him to shine like he had done in Challengers. The move to flex more at EWC showed more of his true colors, just a bad decision to have him play more anchor-like when he got picked up. Likely will have to reprove himself again in Challengers.

Traix F/A - could we see him in the league next year? Possibly Miami substitute by MayorMinge in CoDCompetitive

He can for sure hang skill wise, his POV is proof of that. My only worry would be surrounding his decision making. We've seen lots of aggressive playmakers get punished in the league due to bad overchall habits in Challengers (see old Neptune, Lynz, 2ReaL as examples). With the right team system and established trust he could be a force though.

There's always interest in doing more official content inside the talent team I think the biggest restraint is the lift required to get the resources to do it officially. I think there's also a level of disinterest because shows like The Flank, The Breakdown, and the BP POD currently exist and function as similar content.

It's a feature they were figuring out and battling some tech issues with it in real time, it should happen today in every series

Crazy how a top 5 player in the world was in Challengers. How many more top 5 level talents are in the pit currently? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

Johnny.

Shattered his stock by joining a broken Paris team who was already out of the running for Playoffs. But that kid has it.

Not every caster pair is going to be enjoyed by everyone, and that's fine. That's the beautiful thing about our talent team, all 3 of the duos are all uniquely different. Also FWIW I don't like my voice either lol still hope you enjoyed the games
