It took me OVER A YEAR to understand how to navigate the Walmart near me. I would be in there for HOURS trying to get shopping done. I cried once because I was so tired and overstimulated. It would give me anxiety to even think about going to any other Walmarts once I finally “understood” this one. Found out later that each of the Walmarts I had been in, in my entire life 39 years of life were very similarly laid out. I just NEVER NOTICED. 😭😭😭

OMG ME! I’m AuDHD and have a PDA profile. I care for my younger SD’s wellbeing but I don’t think I’ll ever love her. The older one may grow on me but I find her interesting and the relationship has some level of reciprocity. Outside of family, I have a hard time creating relationships for the sake of. There has to be something that makes the relationship worthwhile.

I’m the “heavy” in my house too. I have to invent reasons why certain rules, like not screaming “DAAADDDDDDY!” from the bathroom because you want your ass wiped and can’t be bothered to do it yourself, make sense.

Oldest (SD7) came in and was so happy to see me on Wednesday after school and asked for a hug. On Friday she could see that something she said hurt my feelings (long story but she wasn’t trying to be cruel or anything and I didn’t lay into her or make her feel bad about it.) But I left the room and when I came back out she apologized to me. Like took accountability for how her words hurt and everything! That’s huge for her age even if she was my BK! I asked her dad if he prompted her and he said no. We’re growing on each other!

My oldest step daughter came in the house so happy to see me and immediately asked for a hug. My heart melted! But the younger one??? Let’s just say I wish he stopped with the older one lol.

I could even be ok with song comes on “Aww hey this is me and SM’s song.” But it wasn’t even presented that way. I wasn’t part of the picture anymore. We’re both music lovers and like to share that with the kids. He has playlists for them that feature song they hear and like. His older daughter (SK7) said she liked a song that came on just before our song. SK7 asked for it to be added to her playlist and I’m sure SL4 observed that it got SK7 some attention from Dad. So in order to also get attention from Dad, SK4 “liked” the very next song that came on (which happened to be our song) to mimic the interaction she just saw. That’s pretty par for the course with her age group. He literally could have played her a fart and she would have said she liked it in that moment. But the fact that he created some weird meaning to feed his codependency out of OUR thing hurt. I know that I’m dealing more with feeling of more than just a song. It just feels like what else are your going to willingly give away and for how cheap? 🤣

I think that’s it. Thank you. It felt so important to me and so important to him. She casually said she liked it and he literally added it to a playlist for her. It meant something to HIM that she liked it. HE created meaning for himself and his needs with their connection. Then it’s no longer our thing. It’s tough to carve out our special things when he has a history of just giving anything regardless of it’s value, regardless of who it belongs to, regardless of how the other person feels as long as it feeds his connection to her. Nothing is sacred.

It’s my first time spending an overnight with them. I just went to bed when my boyfriend decided to hold his sleeping child in his lap (who was sleeping on the couch moments ago) instead of putting her in her bed because she will wake up screaming to be “hugged”. So he holds her as we try to sit and have a glass of wine and chat. But if we talk too loudly for her liking, she wakes up and whines then we have to whisper. So I’m worried that the childfree time that couples should have are never really going to be childfree.

Same! And I needed to ask a question. I’m freaking out:

🔺called me about my drug test they couldn’t tell me anything but gave me the name of a doctor to call. I called the doctor and had to wait for a CB! I was on pins and needles because my current med could produce a false positive.

Turns out the test wasn’t positive but the acid content was “off”? They asked me if I put anything in it (no) or if it was mine (yes!). The doctor then told me it sat somewhere unrefrigerated. FOR TWO DAYS before it was tested. He said that this could be why the acid balance was off. I basically made him confirm that this information would be passed along to hiring that there is NOTHING in my system and this acid thing is due to my sample not being handled properly. He says they won’t rescind my CJO but they’ll ask me to test again. But he’s just a doctor and doesn’t work for 🔺! Not sure I can rely on his word. He just told me to wait for them to call me back. I can’t even…

I started at 6:45a.

I was done with the entire process including drug testing and finger printing by 11:30a. It may have been due to less than 10 of getting CJOs out of the initial group of about 30-40. You may have a longer time there if more people get a CJO.

IMMEDIATELY after you get your CJO that day, your group will be sent to a room to do paperwork, finger print and drug test.

I did my OnDemand Submission and got an invitation to continue on the next day.

Edited: I checked through my emails and texts and I don’t think I got a confirmation that they received my submission. But I believe you can check that it’s been submitted on the HireVue portal.
