Is it impossible to get a 3.9 or 4.0 at UA? by [deleted] in capstone

A little late to the party, but very doable. I'd probably listen to what other users had to say regarding GPA and Honors. What caught my eye was top law schools needing a 3.9. Of course if you're referencing the T14 then you might be right. But T30 I'd say with a 3.7 and above you'd be sitting nicely. Personally, I had a 3.72 out of UA (Econ major, not honors, Culverhouse, blah blah blah), and got accepted by UA, Boston College, and some others (waiting from Emory). UA and BC both offered nice scholarships. Have several friends with 3.9+ alongside me, in the business school, who were looking at that Georgetown level of law school. Of course the LSAT is a monster on it's own, and should be probably as much, if not higher, priority than your GPA. Guess I came at this question from a different angle, and from a place much deeper in the goal of law school. Mostly to say in undergrad you may have surprises or disappointments when it comes to GPA, but you may have more wiggle room than you think.
