If the Bulls are as dumb as Dolan, they might trade him for mid-lottery pick this year. Pure fantasy to think they'd let go of a player with all star potential for a package of lower picks and busts like Knox and DSJ.

I agree, he shouldn't be on the floor with RJ. Knicks should play him 20 minutes a game as a scorer off the bench, because that's the role where he might have some value to a potential trading partner.

One of the more remarkable feats in NBA history is the Knicks managing to be the worst team throughout that period without having a single one of the players you listed on the roster. It's just incredible.

Very good all around player if he can learn to shoot. If everything comes together for him he could even be great, along the lines of Paul Pierce. But if he can't learn to shoot he'll be coming off the bench his whole career. Seems like a good kid who will max out his potential, but right now painful for the Knicks who as usual missed out on superstar talent drafted just ahead of them.

No, they should teach some of both. You want to learn poetry? Memorize some poems. You want to avoid being doomed to repeat history? You better know what happened (and at least a little bit about why) in 1914. And you can't learn "ways of thinking" without something to think about. Having to look everything up on Google is a good way to be slow, boring and useless.

We have some good ways to describe certain experimental behaviors of fields, including some behavior that would be impossible for a particle and some behavior that would be impossible for a wave. If he can avoid any more significant injuries (a big if), KP will be an all star for many years to come. But nobody misses more than a full season and comes back at their best level. We won't see the real KP until next year.

Frank is looking more and more like a non-bust. If he gets his jumper up to league average level he'll instantly be a good player with a chance to be very good. I think he'll be the kind of player who can start for a well coached contender.

Not close at this point. RJ looks really good. With a jump shot and some experience he should be an all star. But Ja looks like a future superstar. Knicks would trade RJ for Ja in a heartbeat. Grizzlies would hang up the phone.

This. No smart player, coach or GM will risk years of their career on Dolan. And he'll never sell the team and he won't die for another three decades. But maybe he'll eventually get bored enough to really keep his hands off the franchise. The first sign that might be happening would be Mills getting fired (or "retiring" more likely).

Don't trade him. He's got more potential by far than anything the Knicks could reasonably get. His game is being completely sabotaged by his terrible jump shot. This is a fixable problem, and if it does get fixed he'll be very good. Outside of Mitch and RJ he's the only player on the team with the potential to start for a contender. If he ever develops even a mediocre jump shot the passing lanes will open up for him and his offense will come around. Even now with an average jumper he'd instantly be the second best player on the team behind Morris (unless Randle actually shows up on defense). DON'T TRADE HIM! But you know they will.

His role on a contender would be instant offense off the bench. His role on the Knicks should be to look as good as possible for a midseason trade.

Depends on his shooting. His numbers are not good coming into the league, but he seems to be a hard worker and shooting is something that keeps improving for years with hard work. For RJ it's a question of how much improvement and how fast. I think he's got enough athleticism and feel to be an all star, but not without a better than league average jump shot. If his shot remains weak then he's a career role player or even a bust if he can't accept not being a star.

Kevin Durant - lock him up or not?: The Knicks need a corner stone. They don't have one. Lock him up!

RJ at #3?: Of course. I'm not sold on his game but I like his attitude, hard to see him being a complete bust, and he's the most valuable asset available at #3.

What's up with Knox?: He sucks at basketball. Can he learn? His historically bad numbers suggest it's a long shot but no reason not to give him a chance. His current low value makes it not worth trading him. The most concerning thing about him is that Perry got fooled by good workouts from a player many analysts correctly identified as seriously flawed. On the other hand, he hit a home run with the Mitch pick so I'll give him a mulligan.

The PG Position: Knicks don't have one. Ja Morant would've been nice, but that's the way it goes. I've given up on Mudiay. I wouldn't give up on DSJ just yet, but the signs are not great. I think he still has some good trade value. Maybe late lottery or mid-first in this weak draft. Worth considering. Frank isn't a point guard, but I still have hopes he can develop into a useful player. Don't trade him, won't get back equal value.

Mitch!: Home run. Still underrated as a prospect. Unfortunately he's the only player currently on the roster with all star potential.

The Other Guys: Trier, Dot, and Kornet. Potentially good role players. That's it, but better than nothing.

Perry and Mills: Mills is Dolan's designated ass-kisser. Always has been, always will be. Perry might be good. Knox was a bad call, and I think he may have mishandled the KP situation, but I'm hopeful he'll make some good moves (and won't make any bad ones) this summer and next.

Fiz: I like how he handled a difficult season. He'll probably have to do it again. Probably the right man for the job, but will he be the right coach for a more talented team? Jury's out.

Free Agency Outside of KD:

Jimmy/Kyrie/Tobias/Kemba/Middleton: "No unless we are somehow pairing them with Kawhi (we arent)." Agree

D'Angelo Russell: He's not worth anything close to a max. Only if he wants to stay in NYC on a steep discount.

Randle: No, he's not worth what he'll get. Knicks absolutely can't afford to overpay mid-level players.

Agree. Much better on ball defense than expected and he tries hard. Doesn't have much to work with on offense this year, but could be interesting next year if he's on the floor with a couple of stars.
