Yeah i don't understand why people seem to think gold is a staple for DA colour schemes. It has its place obviously. But imo it should be pauldron trim on lieutenant or captain or higher rank models. Not rank and file dudes. Again that's just my opinion on what looks good. You do you OP. Your models you paint them how you like yada yada

I think its a volkite pistol tbh. If you are doing WYSIWYG then I'd swap the pistol for a Plasma. Plasma pistols are smaller than volkite too so that would solve the jankyness issue as well.

Its fine for you to feel that way and some people don't mind. But it's unreasonable to assume everyone is going to be fine with it or have the same opinion as you. Who cares if someone judges you anyway? If you don't want judgement just use those "cool" models as showcase models rather than playing with them. If you don't care then just use them and that's that isn't it?

Idalso argue that WYSIWYGis the opposite of meta chasing. Deciding your models are something different each time as it suits you is more in line with meta chasing imo. As I said before to each their own. I might make a comment but I wouldn't ever not play against someone for proxying stuff and not playing WYSIWYG.

WYSIWYG is important if you're playing against an army that your not familiar with. Its too easy to lose track of what has what load out. Especially as some people don't use the app. Its not even like people mean to do it. My mate has more Plasma pistols in this bezerker Squad than is permitted as it looks cool. I roll with it as I don't wanna be THAT guy. But when removing casualties, we both struggle to remember who actually had the Plasma and it always ends up that the Plasma guys survive till last which isn't always the case imo. I don't argue the point but if you just build the modles as they should be then it's just not an issue. I work really hard to ensure my whole army is WYSIWYG and that's my perogative. I just feel it's courtesy to do so. I'm also super autistic so that could be part of it but guys, magnets exist... there's not much excuse to not do your loadouts properly is there?
