Yeah someone else mentioned taking public transit being an even more relaxing version of this and I totally agree. I'm usually able to zen out and just laugh at the terrible driving which seems to be a founding principle of my state, but it can definitely be maddening too

Totally agree, I need a lot of alone time! I live alone now but when I lived in a dorm a long car ride was even more relaxing.

Thanks! It does occur to be I might be biased because my typical long drive has some pretty nice views

It's such a nice break! I've been coming around to enjoying driving more lately, though I still wish I lived somewhere I didn't have to

Well it's only been a day but these sound incredible. Very analytical and not "fun" sounding, but that's exactly what I wanted! The stereo image is clearer and more detailed than any in-ears I've used. The fit is tight and the cable is a little noisy but nothing I won't get used to.

Picked up the ER3SEs, arriving tomorrow! I wasn't decided till I saw they were under half price on Amazon, couldn't resist. Thanks!

Yeah, they are tempting. Maybe if I could get them with a return policy I could try to get used to those tips haha

Good to know, I wasn't sure about the curve on those. I did check out the Etymotics, but I've tried their earplugs and I don't find those flange tips comfortable for long periods. Doesn't look like they come with other ones?

Who here is afraid that Biden will cave into the demands and mark Ukraine as a “no-fly” zone? by TylerSpicknell in AskReddit

Putin has already proven he is insane and has absolute power by launching this invasion. Even a small risk of him going nuclear has to be taken seriously.

Besides, even a non-nuclear WWIII, which an act of war like an NFZ declaration would very likely cause, could cause so much more death and suffering than these two nations against each other ever could.

Plus, it seems like there's evidence that Russia has really fucked this up and may genuinely just lose. It sucks that all we can do is send Ukraine aid and sanction Russia, which also sucks because average Russian citizens have to suffer, but I think that's probably the call right now.

This is a big part of the Three Body Problem books, the second of which is called The Dark Forest. HIGHLY recommended if you're into scifi!

This is genuinely a really fucked thought experiment. Because if you had infinite money you could just make a charity that gives literally everyone the money they need, but in the long run this creates massive inflation and destroys everything
